
The fine folks with the Zombie Squad had another sucessful Blood Drive this past weekend. We had over 80 people show up to give and 68 pints of usable blood was collected. Up to 3 people can use the blood from a single pint so we could potentially be helping 204.

Fire is something that can make or break you in a survival situation. A cold night can mean death without the comfort of a fire to warm your body. There are many, many ways to start a fire. The easiest being a lighter. However they are mechanical and fail.
Some people purchase ready made fire fuel or maybe if they are resourceful enough, they harvest dryer lint. Both are simple and effective ways to start a fire out in the middle of nowhere if you need to. Using cotton balls and vaseline is nothing new when it comes to starting fires. One advantage over using dryer lint is that you can start vaseline soaked cotton balls in the rain because the petroleum jelly in vaseline is the fuel. I’m simply just adding some aluminum foil to the equation to make the vaseline balls reusable time and again.
