Zombie Con 2005

Thursday June 2nd - Sunday June 5th, 2005

REGISTRATION ENDS MAY 15TH

Zombie Squad has spent over a year gathering members from across the globe to combat the ever-growing threat of the zombie menace. To this end, a meeting has been called to gather in the wilderness of Missouri for four days of Zombat Training, Survival Preparedness, and Information Exchange in an effort to coordinate a international anti-zombie task force (or just drink beer and hang out in the woods).

We will be hosting this "Zombie Survival" campout on 50 acres of private land in Irondale, Missouri from June 2nd until June 5th. Come join us.

What will we be doing?

We'll have a loose schedule of events throughout the weekend. Here are a few activities we have planned so far to give you an idea:

    Thursday (6/2):
  • Set up camp
  • Meet and greet your fellow ZS members
  • Watch some bad zombie movies
    Friday (6/3):
  • Morning PT
  • "Field trip" to a local shooting range
  • Airsoft exercises
  • Watch bad zombie movies
    Saturday (6/4):
  • Morning PT
  • Canoe trip on the Big River at Cherokee Landing
  • BBQ
  • Watch bad zombie movies
    Sunday (6/5):
  • Moan about being sore and/or hung over
  • Clean up

None of the activities are required to attend so feel free to come even if the trip to the shooting range or the morning Physical Training doesn't interest you. This is a nice sized property so there is plenty of room for hiking and testing out all that survival gear you've been talking about on the internet.

We will provide the camping ground, potable water, firewood, canoe Rental for Saturday, breakfast and a BBQ on Saturday. We'll try to have some extra basic supplies on hand in case you forgot something.

There will be airsoft equipment for you to use for the the airsoft exercises but you're encouraged to bring your own.

We will also have an electric generator available if you need to charge batteries and such. This is how we'll be watching movies on in the woods with a projector, in case you were wondering.

Where will it be held?

The gathering will be located on private land in Irondale, MO (about 2 hours south/west of St. Louis). A map and detailed directions to the location will be provided upon request. Since this is private land we don't want to advertise it all over the Internet.

If you will need transportation from St. Louis contact us ahead of time and arrangements will be made.

How much will it cost?

To cover our expenses and to secure the location for all 4 days of the event we will asking for $50 per person by May 15th.

This small fee covers the cost of your Canoe rental, food all day on Saturday, potable water for the entire weekend, your camping spot and all the bad zombie movies you can force down for four days.

How do I sign up?

First, you must be at least 18 to attend this year's event.

Fill out this form or send an e-mail to camp@zombiehunters.org with your name, address and number of guests. We'll send you an invoice through paypal with more details about the camp. We must receive payment for registration before May 15th.

For more information or to make other payment arrangements send an e-mail to camp@zombiehunters.org.

What will you need to bring?

We will supply breakfast, lunch and dinner on Saturday but you'll need to bring food for the rest of the weekend in addition to portable shelter, and pretty much anything else you would normally bring camping for four days. This is a great chance to test out your Bug Out gear. We will be sending you a list of recommended supplies to bring with you when you register.

If you need food, a tent or any other supplies but you will not be able to bring them due to your travel arrangements let us know and we can work something out with you. We have some extra tents but they are first come first serve.

Other details to note:

Firearms - We will be having a "field trip" to a local shooting range but if you plan to bring any firearms they must be locked up at all times while on the property. You can lock them in your car or there is a cabin on the property.

Alcohol - The legal drinking age will be observed.

You can feel safe knowing that the organizers of the event have a working relationship with with local law enforcement if there are any problems.

If you need any more specific information about the event before your register please contact us at: camp@zombiehunters.org
