The tent is an excellent form of shelter. If offers maximum space, resistance to the elements, and strength, the tent is also available in far more sizes and types than any other portable shelter, a home in a bag ready to go, tents are easy to set up and easy to live in, but all these benefits are not without a cost. The tent is by far the heaviest and bulkiest of portable shelters and since the best bug-out gear the gear you have with you this is considerable drawback.
