SAM Splint

The SAM Splint (SAM (Structural Aluminum Malleable) splint) makes the act of splinting a broken/damaged appendage much easier than searching for wood/binding material. The SAM is a long, thin piece of aluminum that is lightly padded on two sides with a malleable foam that can be molded and shaped to perform various splinting tasks. A SAM Splint should be seriously considered for a first aid kit.
