Appeal to Survivalists
Any stout magnum rated revolver is able to handle quite a bit of abuse and still keep functioning. The advantages of dual calibers in the case of .357 Mag/.38 Spec, .44 Mag/.44 Spec, and .454 Casull/.45 Long Colt also means that these pistols can keep on digesting ammuntion when those limited to a single caliber run dry. Additionally large calibers work well with handloaded black powder rounds using homemade lead bullets, not significantly reducing their lethality like the smaller calibers do. Thus in any PAW a revolver such as the Ruger Redhawk is good to have around.
