Gauze is mainly washed, fluffed and dried cotton that serves many purposes as part of a first aid kit.

Use

Gauze serves many different purposes, here are a few:

Pack Wounds

Gauze can be used to pack a wound to help cushion and protect it, as well as absorb any fluids.

Wrap Wounds

Gauze can be used to wrap wounds to help protect and stabilize them.

Padding

You can also use gauze as wound padding by folding it into a square, trim the edges and use it just like you would any other gauze bandage.

Absorbant Dressing

Gauze is also be used as absorbant topper dressings.
