Antibiotics are the primary means for treating bacterial infections and related illnesses. While they must be used with care, they can also be the most effective way to deal with a bacterial problem and warrant serious consideration for inclusion in a first aid kit

Usage
Antibiotics generally attack infection at a cellular level, making them useful for several types of ailments.
Bacterial Infection
The most common use of antibiotics is for bacterial infections, antibiotics can resolve most infections within just a few days or treatment.
Fungal Infection
There are many fungi which can ail the human body, such as athletes foot and yeast infections. Antibiotics are commonly used to treat or cure these problems.
Parasites
Antibiotics can also be used to kill parasites that attack the human body, including many of the single celled organisms that may be in water sources in nature.
Side Effects
There are many different antibiotics and as such their side effects can very greatly. Some antibiotics have little adverse effect on a patient, others can be debilitating during treatment.
