Pretty kick ass bag.
Do you plan on taking that in congunction with your BOB? Seems to be more along the size of a first responder bag than something I'd tote around with on my own. (unless situation permits me to take the bike.)

As non-shtf goes, For the most part it rides in my truck anytime we are out in the desert having fun(anything from Wheeling to shooting). I have already tried and it will piggy back on my Kifaru EMR or my Large ALICE ruck easily.

The bag itself is a little larger then the average 3 day bag.

If you'd ever met Grifter, you'd know that toting around an extra bag or two won't be a problem. I'm planning on having him carry my gear.

And ME, too.

Well, not much to comment on. Looks pretty nice! If I were to pick nitts: replace Quick-Clot with Quick-Clot ACS+ and your Ashermans chest-seal with the Bolin chest-seal..

Good job!

(BTW: anyone got a PDF on that combat-medic reference?)

Very nice.

Is the ACS just for bleeding out type wounds, or for sucking chest wounds? Where a lung would be punctured?

ACS is a double acronym:

Advanced Clotting Sponge: A sort of teabag filled with Quick-Clot, used to stop sever bleeding after all other means are not working.

Ashermans Chest Seal: a piece of plastic wich sticks to your chest and has a flutter valve built into it, preventing air from entering the chest, but enabeling blood, etc. to get out. An ACS is used for sucking chest wounds (pneumothorax)

Grif how did you attach your side pouches?

That's the only thing I'm not digging about this stomp II, no spots to put gear on the outside :(

Ok thanks. I was referring to the second one.

The bag has MOLLE on each side.

Gunny,

Here's a pic from a slightly different angle that really lets you see them...

Nfa, you need backhanded for that image. Bad form, old boy.

Grifter, nice bag, good choice of logo on the hydro bottle, and thanks for giving me an idea. My bag needs more smoke grenades.

I figure it is pretty much one of the easiest ways to signal for help. Thats why I picked RED, cause it can't be cunfused with just rising steam or a fire.

A fire will also get you attention...

Yes, but if it gets out of control it will turn you into a smoking pile of goo.

Grifter; where'd you get the stretcher from, and for how much?

Very true, but the smoke grenade is just much easier and quicker.

I picked it up for $20 at a table at the CrossRoads of the West Gunshow last year. You can find all kinds of fun stuff there.

Orange smoke is the usual distress signal. Something like this:

I've got violet for my smoke. The ALS violet grenade produces enough purple gas to make Barney reminisce about his uncle Eddie after thanksgiving dinner.
