NAFFI Bar -Open

As I sit here in a Travelodge I notice we don’t have a bar and since this is an internet forum I have decided to open a virtual bar (yes I have the relevant license to serve virtual alcohol).

For any of our colonial friends who drop by all measures of alcohol will be served in standard English measures, we are a free house and not tied to any brewery, so all brands of drink will be served if there is sufficient demand.

If none of the bar staff are present please leave the correct money (all major denominations accepted) behind the bar.

As with any local pub you will find this one is a good place to unwind, have a chin wag and tell a “war story” or two. Though if you step out of line the “management” reserve the right to bar you.

Ok I need a drink, no to be honest I need a lot of drink. I have just walked for 2 hours rather than pound on a student. Sometimes I do question the ability of some people to string three brains cells together on their own. If I didn’t need the dosh I would just walk away from this gig.

i need a glass of mead i've been walking around the museum of welsh life today its bloody roasting and its an open air museum. i tell you now, making museums free was the best thing the welsh assembly ever did. i saw a few houses from as early as the 1500's and even bought a bottle of mead. I even discovered that an oxo tin i keep my grampys baseball medals in is an exhibit in itself from the 1930's lol. I may make this place my local

Mines a quadruple jagermeister and coke Had a really busy few days at work.

I was on call last week and got hammered nearly every day. This week im not, but last night one of our casinos got DDOS'd and my boss calls me up, i know you arent on call but steve doesnt know what hes doing you need to take over

Couple that with saturday where my boss called me at 9am and told me i wasnt allowed to leave my computer all day incase we get attacked again !

And tonight.... im sat here working, but on my side project rather than my day job. I WANT to get pissed, but im going to go for a run instead then get e-pissed with you guys.

I have been out of work for 9 months now, trying to support a family of six. I am trying to get my Merchant Mariner (AB) card which is a royal pain the A$$, since the Gov't is envolved in all aspects of the process. I just want to get back out on the water again.

I really like a good Scotch, make it a double. Here $20, keep the change....

Hot and sticky here so I think I will stick with the dry cider tonight.

The student I had yesterday had a serious attitude problem; he had been sent on the course by his HR team and didn’t want to be there.

Refused to do any practical, caused distractions all day and tried to cause an argument over his company’s procedures, even after we explained that as we were an outside training company we had no control over that.

After all the students had left I told him he had basically failed the course because I didn’t think he was “a suitable person” to be a first aider. Then he started shouting off about as a department manager he shouldn’t be on a course with staff below his pay grade and if I got the gear out he would demonstrate the practical. Told him it was too late as I consider an 8 hour day of teaching long enough for me to make my mind up.

He hasn’t worked long for this client and rumour has it he won’t be much longer.

Hi Lenny welcome, you can say “Royal pain in the ass” but if you consider the history of “Royals” in the UK I have always thought it should be a “Royal pain in the neck” figure the way they kept the Axe man employed the ass was never in pain.

But I do know what you mean about Government bodies and paperwork, I was a civil servent for 16 years . Sorry to hear about the work situation, I only had to last a month before I got some work. Keep us inform on how it’s going with your AB card.

Wow that guy sounds like a right cockfag ! Anyone who wont do something because its 'below his paygrade' is never going to succeed in my opinion.

Sorry for the delay, but I had to wait on council issuing the kitchen a license to serve food. We of course supply bar meals and a selection of sandwiches including our speciality, the all day breakfast bun.

Can I take the opportunity to recommend one of our famous cheesecakes; we have a wide selection of “belt busting” “artery clogging” sweets for the cognisor.
