Thanks for the links. I do already have a Coleman's poncho that has it's own fleece liner sewn in but it's a bulky PITA so we use it as part of our car kit. I think a separate poncho and liner will work better for me.

I'll probably pick up a basha at some point as well - yes, I am turning into a gear whore. ;)

I've got quite a few milsurp places near me but they all suck balls. One only sells Web-tex gear, another is full of knock-off stuff and the third sells decent kit but at almost double what you can get it online for.

There's a big military show happening nearby at the end of May so I'll be sure to check that out.

Big military show??????? Do you have a link or more info please?
If you follow the link that Cyborg posted they have bashers in both Desert and Temperate DPM for a £10. I would personally go for the Temperate DPM and at that price you can’t go wrong.

Ask and thee shall receive:

http://www.solentoverlord.co.uk/show.html

Never been before but should be a good day out even if they don't have much in the way of kit for sale.

And they're out of DPM bashas as that's the first thing I checked.

I went to get a small upgrade for one of my shotguns today but my will power failed horribly and I walked out with this:

Image

So what was meant to be £100 worth of shotgun mods, turned out to be a Remington SPS Varmint in .308, a bipod, base, rings, scope, carry case and 300 rounds of .308  I spent... quite a lot !

At least now when Pig Aids mutates into the rage virus I can shoot all the zeds from a good 800meters away

Oh and I still left my shotgun there to be upgraded. I win at spending.

Very very nice. What sort of weight is that setup, is it practical to carry it or more from a static hide ?

Its actually not that heavy. I have tried aiming it standing and it is doable but not for too long obviously. I think you could get a decent shot off from standing. I will get a sling which should make that more managable.

I will mainly be shooting it prone though.

Years a go a friend of mine had a Ruger in 22/250 nice rifle and spot on from a sandbag, but would have been a little heavy to E&E with over a long distance.

Now I'm really ready for the pig flu to go all rage virus 8)

Just got one of my shotguns back from some modifications:

Image

The standard tube was 5 shot, I've had a +6 added so I should be able to get 11 in the tube and one in the chamber :) Should kick ass for PSG or even defending against zombies.

I also grabbed a few boxes of 12G Slugs:

These appear to have been imported from Spain or somewhere since the box says 'Projectil Singular' on it lol.

I CANT STOP BUYING THINGS!!!!!!

I just picked up one of those Kukri Machete's like mole has and also this:

Image

Its a RAT Model 1 folder made by Ontario, I picked it up really cheap from Knife Center. It came very sharp and feels pretty good in the hand. My only criticism would be that I would have preferred a more matt finish on the blade, the one it has is a tad glossy, this will probably get less shiny with use though.

BZH that RAT Folder looks really nice, I'd be very interested in seeing how it holds up.
