Here too.

I decided today to see what other Ontarians are doing. So as for now, I am here. Depending on how far away your charity events are, I may be down.

I'm a ways North of you guys though and have been considering starting a Central Ontario ZS Chapter.

Toronto could work for me.
The large problem is that I do not have transportation aside from my gf. She is cool with the whole ZS/preparedness thing, but sometimes she doesn't think the way I tend to with some of the things we discuss ... It's all good to her though, we actually met because of zombies. 8)

Buffalo, NY. Was just in Toronto last week.
These are my preps. There are many like them, but these are mine. I must prep for real possibilities. I must think clearer than the Zeds who may try to kill me. I must be prepared to help myself so I might be prepared to help those in need. I will. We are the saviors of my life. So be it, until disaster has past and there is no enemy, but sloth!

I are here too!

Anyway, not a charity event but I think, in the interest of getting more on the preparation side of things, a mock bug out would be fun and interesting.

Another idea I had was maybe a get together, possibly a barbeque when the weather is a bit nicer, where we compile a list of gear and we teach everyone in the group to use it. Technically, this could even be a once a month get together where we pick an item and show various ways to use it in a survival situation. Kind of a 'Gear of the Month' seminar-type deal.

Anyway, just thoughts. (:

Says the guy who just had to skip the winter mock bug out in pennsylvania. :p

I would love to do a mock bug out or camping weekend. In fact i'm pretty sure we planned to do one at one of our meetings recently. Gear seminars would be useful indeed.

Actually, I'm going to bring this up at the next Niagara meeting, but I'm going to toss it out on the forums too. I've spoken to a kid from the student counsel at Thorold High and he wants to do something to bring awareness to the fight against closing the school. A BBQ or something along those lines were mentioned. Any way, I'm open to more suggestions because personally I'd like to help because the best basis for preparation is education. (Did you see what I did there, pretty smooth I think :p )
