The Movies of Zombie Con 2005

Postby Ashnack » Thu Jun 09, 2005 9:37 pm

As it said on the brochure there would be Bad Zombie Movies (as though there are any other kind) for every night at Zombie Con 2005.

With the Generator and Tactical Movie Screen of ZS this was made possible by our great organizers.

Below is a list of the films we were able to both enjoy and groan at.

Siege of the Dead: Zombie Survival Short, very ZS esque
Undead: Alien zombies down under vs. the 3 barrel shotgun of doom
Chopper Chicks in Zombie Town: The Cycle Sluts and Billy Bob Thornton battle the living dead
The Stink of Flesh: Matool and his 10 inch nails of zombie destruction, and lots of sex
Come Get Some: The Last Resort Man and 4 Punk Rock Girls battle a government release of the undead
Dead Life: Poor Mans Fred Durst and Poor Mans Chuck Norris fight zombies by throwing a girl at them
Versus: Japanese zombie film that ends with a sword with Laser Sights (now that’s tactical)

If you would like any more info on any of these films, feel free to shoot me a line or look them up on the interweb.

I think that is the complete list for 2005. Next year there will be many more new movies out and available, and some we did not get to see this year.

Ashnack saved the day with his zombie movie arsenal. I've never seen such a haul.

Perfect line up for Zombie Con. A lot of the movies were seen for the first time by a majority of the attendees.

For those of you who saw it....

Is Siege of the Dead worth buying? I've been interested in this flick for awhile, but haven't taken the plunge.

What's the running time on it?

Thanks in advance.

Running time is about 30 minutes. Done by a group called Lead Rain Entertainment, as far as I know they are no longer selling copies of it.

If you can find a copy of it I would recomend getting it.

What about Undead? Is that any good?

P.S. I thought Undead was coming out July 1st in the US, or did it already come out in another country?

It came out last year in Austrailia.

Siege of the Dead was pretty good for a low budget short. I'd buy it.

I hate myself for that rhyme. It makes me feel even dirtier than watching that scene.

How did I miss this thread?

What did y'all think of Come Get Some? I can't belive there are other people who have seen that movie!
The tools of conquest do not necessarily come with bombs and explosions and fallout. There are weapons that are simply thoughts, attitudes, prejudices, to be found only in the minds of men. For the record, prejudices can kill and suspicion can destroy, and a thoughtless, frightened search for a scapegoat has a fallout all its own...
