PAC NW CHAPTER STATUS GOOOO!!!

Our Habitat for Humanity charity event has been given the go-ahead by the powers that be and I'm proud to inform all of you that we are in the very final stages of becoming the next and greatest chapter of ZS!!

I called H4H and they have given me a date of July 12th. The job site will most likely be at the Reynolds Park construction site. We have space reserved for up to 10 people. If we get more people than that, I know a couple of people were interested in working at Re-Store and that could expand our participation a bit.

I will have more info for you all as the day approaches. They are going to call back with more details because the job site might change between now and then. If you have a loved-one or friend who wants to participate there will be another orientation on June 7th in the same location as the previous orientation. There will probably be several opportunities for people to attend orientation before the day of the event. Make sure that you have all of your H4H paperwork turned in before then in order to participate.

After the event has been completed, we request the chapter paperwork and elect officers. Once the paperwork has been reviewed our chapter will be approved. I am excited.

Can a N00b show up June 7th and get oriented in one shot before the 12th of July? Long commute, but I can try and talk Meantree in to carpooling....
If this is a go, anyone else up North (Arlington) headed that way? ...pick ups further South?

Awesome! You should come to our meeting on June 8th if you can make it. We're also doing the campout on June 20th.

The orientation just takes a few hours in the morning. You might check and see if there is another H4H up your way. Maybe you could do the orientation there and have it apply to the Pierce County branch as well.


Edit: Perhaps I should start a list in the first post of people who are sure they will be attending.

There is an orientation on-line for Snohomish County, will this suffice?
Not looking to shortcut anything, but gas being what it is.....

P.S. - I'm a dumbass. I scheduled this event for my one-year anniversary weekend. The weef is not happy, but she understands.

Ok DropZedFred and I were at the orientation this morning and when it was finished he asked if there were any ZS people there. We were met by silence followed closely by the girl who ran the presentation saying "looks like you are on your own". So here is the punk card and we are pulling it!
