You have no idea. It's like ammonia, old lady stench, and the reek of wet garbage. I've had three neighbors call the cops about the "dead animals" I'm keeping. Imagine that the most toothless bum in India just licked your face, and then shit on your upper lip, while liquified roadkill from the sun scorched roads of the swampiest stretch of louisiana highway was dripped in your hair, and month old rotten eggs dripped slowly down the back of your throat.
But it could be worse. I could smell like Doc's mom.

Dude... I was eating when I read that. Well at least maybe it'll help me stick with my diet or develop bulimia.

Gauze and tape is cool and all but I don't think you guys are thinking enough about the morale of those you're giving medical attention to. I kind of think that you all simply don't care enough.

Medic's BFK
(That's "Big F'ing Kit" just so you know)

Image

It's actually green, and the logo is reflective. Left and right side also have reflective strips.

There are two pockets on the left side:
Image

Yes, that's a size D oxygen bottle and about 10 pairs of nitrile gloves. Gotta have the air so that we can un-smurf people.

Image

Tools of the trade. They're in a pocket in the flap.

Image

That blue thing is a disposable tourniquet. Yes, I "only" have two rolls of tape, but I've got splash goggles, sliver tweezers (in the canister at left), hand sanitizer, eye wash, benzoin swabs, a couple of finger splints and tissues.

Image
Left to right, top to bottom:
Single use thermometers, burn dressing, chemical cold pack
2 tubes of oral pain goo.
Ammonia capsules (smelling salts), space blanket, air-activated heat pads
Insect bite relief swabs (Medicaine), triple antibiotic goo, alcohol prep pads.

Image
More tools of the trade: Cheap stethescope, palm-aneroid BP cuff, large SAM splint, BVM

Image
Sub-load #1, green. Airway. Full OPA set, 2 NRB masks, 2 nasal cannulas.

Image
Subload #2, red. Trauma. 1 Izzy, 1 Bloodstopper, 1 (? I had more. Gotta restock) Kerlix, 1 Vaseline gauze. (note to self: Add chest seal)

Image
Subload #3, blue. Dressings. 15 @ 4x4 gauze pads. 5 eye pads

Image
Subload #4, yellow. Bandages/wraps. 1@ of 2 different ACE wraps. 3 rolled gauze. 2 triangle bandages/cravats.

Someone's been raiding my kit for parts. Grrr.... Time to restock.

Ah! That's what's missing in my "Comfort Aid Kit"! Thanks, Jim!

I also need to toss a DVD player and some movies in my CAK like Threads, The Day After, Requiem for a Dream... you know... upbeat stuff.

Wow. I've never seen a thread so completely and utterly full of fail. Why do any of you even try? It's pathetic really.

Erik had the right idea, Doc Simon's was utterly pitiful but was still an attempt nonetheless. My FAK is zombie-apocalypse based so I designed it accordingly.

The bag: It's a cheap Champion gym bag. Purchased God-knows when for probably $3000 because it's completely full of win.

Image

The outer pocket has:

Nothing! That's right. Real men don't use the exterior pockets.

Let's take a peek inside:
Image

Bandoliers. British style that hold 150 62gr Zombie Pills apiece. These meds are proven to cure the affects of re-animation if inserted into the brain at 2800fps or more.

Under that:
Image

30-round AR--um, I mean high capacity zombie pill feeding devices

Total contents:
Image

Of course, all of this is useless without my semi-automatic zombie pill injection device (SAZPID), here:
Image

I will be using this bag in conjunction with the SAZPID primarily for treating victims of zombie bites. Unfortunately I couldn't get anywhere near all of my zombie pills or zombie pill feeding devices into one bag. I've managed to cram 4,260 pills into my FAK. Conclusion: Need a bigger bag.

Can I have a "ZS Medic" patch now?

The answer is obvious: DavePAL's.

Um, let's see here......Oh, yea, right here...... It says-

Water, and gel..... Yep, that's about it.

Hope this helps.....

Since you're rather new, that's all of my considerable flame-making abilities you shall recieve. This thread is for posting FAKs, and/or shooting said FAKs full of jealousy-fueled flameholes. Try asking your question in any other thread here in the FA forum. This thread is a throwdown nothing more, nothing less.........

Basically, it's lidocaine (anesthetic) and tea tree oil.

Water-jel (the dressings) does NOT contain Lidocaine, Burn-jel (ointments and gels) does.

But tomorrow night Australian time if practicality permits you will see true tailored to requirement brilliance, I'm just not sure if I'll be taking the pics here at home or in a motel/serviced apartment as I've gotta do the grand tour of the choicer parts of my territory this coming week.

I'm looking at the tacticool glory that is my BooBooFAK, IFAK and Squad Trauma Bag as I type this...

I stand corrected. I was thinking the gel-packet line.

Tea tree oil (maleleuca alternafolia) is some damn fine stuff.
