So I quoted a worst case scenario(sp)...$1.25 if I buy Remington Core-lokt from the local Big-5 sporting goods store. $25 for a box of 20. I just ordered a few boxes from CTD for $14 per box of 20. I don't shoot nearly enough to warrent reloading. Also, from what I have heard, the .303brit only is good for about 3 reloads because the casing expands so much when fired. I think they left large tolerances so the shells would load reliably, but at the cost of a de-formed casing.

Just drove through Livermore. Sure was hot up there.

Hey.

Start using ZS Chat. It works. I'll be on till around 10 PM tonight, and possibly tomorrow. Discussing things there would be a tad easier.

Since a couple of youz guyz can't make it on the 18th, how about something over Laber Day weekend. I'm pretty sure the range will be open, and I'll have my XD by then.

I'll be winging it with a rental tomorrow, as far as labor day, I can't make any promises with my crazy schedule, but I'll keep my fingers crossed :).

A rental what?

I'll probably be at the range till 6pm. You could always just make it to the 1st Street Ale House afterwards.

They don't rent guns there, but they do sell ammo. We should have plenty with us that you can borrow.

Here is a link of pictures I posted from our last range trip. There shouldn't be any shortage of guns to shoot. Just help out with ammo costs, and we'll all be happy.

>.< Doh, well, at least you guys have the guns. Sadly my next purchase will most likely be my Ham gear, guns are on the list, but it's soooooo expensive >.<. I'll most likely be getting there around 4ish, maybe 415, and I do have my camera with me :)

I won't be able to take any guns up, which blows. I do know a Fire Chief/USNR Chief who lives in Redding, who could probably store my weapons if I ask kindly. But really, it looks like when I come out, I'm gonna have to mooch.

Sorry for the delayed update.

So I showed up and met my work buddy at the range. I had my Enfield, and my .22 mossy. Wayne (my work buddy) had his S&W .45, his .38, a Luger 10/22, and an 80 year old .44-40 lever action he was just handed down.

After a bit of shooting, I hear "I recognize that shirt," from behind me (I was wearing my ZS shirt). Behind me stands Seeker. At the next cease fire, we all introduce ourselves, and get back to shooting. Seeker didn't have any guns to bring, but he was shooting plenty of pictures. Hopefully he'll put them up here soon.

After shooting, Seeker and I went for a motorcycle ride around the local twisties. We then met my wife and a couple friends at the 1st Stree Ale House in Livermore for some good food. Not yet ready to fininsh the evening, we wandered across the street to our favorite coffee shop (not Starbucks) and had a few beverages while we sat and talked and joked.

All in all a good time. Next time some more of you should show up. I had mentioned perhaps an outing during Labor Day weekend, but nobody has shown any interest. I'll be going to the range regardless, and probably getting a burger afterwards, too.

Well, I had a blast, and I'm definitely looking forward to going again, sadly I still won't have a rifle by that time...though I might actually have my car back at that point...maybe >.<. After firing that Enfield though...damn I've had my eye on a couple ;). Hehe, anyway, provided I have the time, I will definitely go next week :D. Pictures are forthcoming, just beating them with a stick till they look proper :).

So....this weekend... I have Sunday off, and I'm working Day Shift on Saturday, so I can do either day, Saturday obviously in the afternoon, and Sunday all day. Anything concrete going on?

As far as I am concerned, I plan on going on Saturday from 3-6 again like last time. If you want to pick up some .303 brit ammo (they don't sell .303 at the range), I'll bring my enfield again, but I don't have any extra ammo to bring. I'll most likely just shoot my .22 mossy, and my new SA XD. I haven't spoken to Wayne yet, but I might bring another co-worker along.

I sadly won't be able to come on Saturday, I'd forgotten my Pugilism class got rescheduled to then so making the trip up to Livermore only to basically have to turn around and be back in Santa Clara by 6 kinda makes it a very short trip. Next time though. If anyone is up for doing something Sunday, I'm working grave that night, so any time during the day is cool. Let me know!

Halloween and Thanksgiving are our next big events, and I think Halloween would be great for something, like maybe even a zombi walk through Haight St.

Or not. What do you all think we should do? We need to get this chapter shit rolling.

Haight St? hahaha. I don't want to be there for halloween! Plus I have a newborn due right about then :)

Thanksgiving is good.

A motorcycle ride/range trip would be awesome!
