This is still up in the air but once we figure out who all is coming we can vote on it among us or something.

I know where I can barrow like... 20 PMI paintball guns...

Yah know what? Let's just say that I like the paintball rout. I've never played airsoft, and I don't have an airsoft gun. This means that if I get invited to play airsoft, I'll read everything I can find on it, and then I'll drop like 1k on stuff for airsoft.

Don't make me be that guy Kyle. :D

I know that airsoft seems to rule over paintball on these forums but if you need anything paintball related let me know. I'll do what I can to hook it up.

[edit] OOooooh... air could be a problem. I can get CO2 tanks but unless we have a place to fill them we'd be kind of screwed in about an hour. I think I've got 10 or 15 CO2 tanks laying around the house but they aren't all twenty ounces. Some of them are as small as 9oz.

I have no problem getting a ride with you, but it's a long way to get little, old, me in NJ just to drive another 1000 miles to St. Louis. We'll see how things are going about a month in advance so I know weather or not to fly.

This is why I was thinking of just picking up a bunch of cheap spring guns. They're cheap and they make you work a little harder.

This is really out of my league. I've never used airsoft and I've only done the paintball thing a few dozen times. This is more William's area.

I think I'm going to pawn the planning of this exercise off on him. :)

No, I meant in a carpool. Not just the two of us. I'm not ready to go "Thelma and Louise'n it" with you yet.

Flights from DC are like $250 for Wednesday-Sunday or Monday.

We'll see what kind of car I'm getting in the next few months. A van would be the best to transport a few of us, but we need to keep luggage and gear in mind. I'm sure we all want to bring our BOBs for comparison. Guns could also be tricky, but not impossible, to transport as each county seems to have differant laws. As the date approaches, I'm sure we'll figure something out.

I plan to make my best effort to attend, but to be very honest that’s to far in the future for me to make permanent plans. I hope to have a new job by then. However, if everything goes well I can stop by the airport and pick up a couple people. It’s on the way and I have an SUV that can hold a couple of people and their gear.

I would be able to go, except that I am apparently about 5 months too young for that.

Yah, this is too hard. Let's give up. :D

Besides with me going down to the Shop tomorrow to throw my game ideal at him I don't think asking him to barrow a bunch of stuff would be a good ideal.

Me: "Hey Mark I want to bring a bunch of Zombie Survivalists down to Richmond for a game."

Mark: "Uh... ok..."

Me: "On your field."

Mark: "Uh..."

Me: "And can I barrow your entire back stock of rentals and CO2?"

Mark: "Uh... I..."

Me: "Great, I'm going to need the Mobile air smith Truck and the compressors too."

Mark: "James... I think you've lost you've paintballed yourself retarded. Maybe you should go home and take a nap."

Me: "Righty Oh!"

Me: "And maybe never come back."

Don't forget the masks. :)

I'm not giving up anything. This is still happening. I'm just delegating it to someone who have more expertise in the area.

If you're five months too young now it's all good. The retreat isn't until June.

So....

*counts on fingers* ...... That's seven months from now (including this month) so you should be good to go :D

I meant in June I would be 5 months from my birthday, thereabouts.

It's looking like we're sticking with the lock the guns up while we're on the camping property and we'll go on a few "field trips" down the street to a shooting range.

We'll have wavers and shit just in case.

If you're interested in coming drop us a line here: camp@zombiehunters.org

Let us know where you're coming from and if you plan to bring firearms or not. Also, let us know if you can bring your own airsoft gun.

If you have any suggestions for us or any other questions feel free to send them to that e-mail address as well.

Last question.

Is there going to be a Port O' John or should I bring a shovel?

We'll have a few designated areas pre-dug for you where you arrive. If you can bring a shovel it might not be a bad idea. It never hurts to have a back up.

Update:

As you may already know this will be a 4 day event. It will basically just be an informal gathering of ZS members from around the U.S. and Canada (so far).

This first annual camp will be more of a meet and greet to hang out with your friends on the forum in person and decide what we all want to do with the future of this community that we've developed.

ZS will be charging a reasonable fee to cover our expenses (like securing the property, water, waste, electric generator, etc).

You'll have to supply you're own food and shelter but if you have special circumstances and won't be able to bring your equipment with you (like if you're flying in, etc) you can make arrangements with us.

We plan on having some events like a canoeing trip, morning calisthenics, airsoft exercises, a trip to the local shooting range, and of course trying out some of the survival crap we discuss in here.

We'll also be bringing out a projector to watch a few zombie classics off the electric generator on a few of the evenings. It should be fun.

If you think you can make it that weekend drop us an e-mail to camp@zombiehunters.org with the part of the country you'll be coming from and how many people you think you'll be bringing with you. We'll send you out more information.

There is a limit of around 40 people for this first event to keep it manageable so sign up early if you're interested.

Yeah, I know I've posted most of this stuff a few times already but I received a few Private messages about it so I'm posting it again.

i have an airsoft spring-fire beretta 92. it's wicked accurate to about three inches. at 10 feet it pulls to the left a random distance between 12 and 20 inches of where you aim it. past 10 feet, well, the baby jesus decides where it goes and i have no control over it.

I have 5 or 6 airsoft guns and I used to play 3 or 4 times a week. All of my guns are spring guns because I only played inside. A decent spring pistol is about $30-40. Not too bad.

I'd love to come to this, but I live in Texas. I'd consider a road trip, but at the same time I have no idea how I'll be financially in June. I would love to come, but I doubt that I'd be able to.

well, and for Prozombie and I, I don't think we'll be able to make that one, We'll miss it by about a month. It turns out my softball team has a tournament over the 4th of July in St. Louis, and if everything goes my way, I will convince my mum not to go and bring him intstead. I also go to missouri about twice a year considering I have family in Janesville and Springfield, so we might also just take a roadtrip to St. Louis (cause its a cool city). So, maybe if some who live in St. Louis want to get together for a bit when we're there in July we should talk.
