I don't drink coffee (haven't since 1995), but I still kind of want one of those Black Rifle Coffee Company stainless mugs they sell. It'd go well next to my Federal Premium ammo beer koozie on my shelf.

Some really amazing snap caps, which are just handloads without a powder charge and a little rubber bumper instead of a primer. Now I can do speed drills without disturbing anyone except the cats, who may just chase the ejected tinkling brass all over the floor.
A par of Limbsaver shooting pads (wearable) and a single slip-on limbsaver for the 1917 American Enfield. That used to bruise me when I had the action in the sporter stock with a recoil pad, I do not envy the sensation of shooting it with a steel buttplate. I know I could get used to it, but I've already had one shoulder rebuilt...

The one I had on my wishlist was bare stainless, so I guess that one. I didn't even know they made a matte black stainless mug.

Why do you ask ?

Probably looking for sources of brownie points.

I can't be sure what for...but given the context I kinda fear the phrase "zombie porn" is involved. :ohdear:

I picked up a Butler Creek sling for my Ruger PC9 today. Didn't really need one, but it was on sale and I figured why not.

If there's anything the Kenosha videos taught it's the value of a sling.

A rifle needs a sling!

I got a couple boxes of rifle ammo, mostly for the brass to reload.

Placed an order with Midway USA for a Geissele Super 42 braided buffer spring and H1 buffer along with an AR Stoner 9mm 1/2-28 muzzle brake for my PC9 as well as a crush washer just in case I need one.

Should hopefully get shipped today and be in my hands soon.

ETA: Midway order shipped and is expected to arrive next week.

Picked up a set of cheap Weaver scope rings to cannibalize for the screws so I can fix that set of CZ 527 rings I got. The screws aren't the exact thread pitch, but they are the same size. May have rethreaded the rings to match the new screws, but it works.

Also, this isn't exactly firearms related, but I also picked up a knife I've been wanting for a long time. A Buck 119 fixed blade.

Off topic: Coming from a career in photojournalism and video production, that clip is incredibly painful to watch. Just awful production.

At one time, a man could just walk into a gun store & buy a BAR, right off the shelf.

In my lifetime an adult could walk into an army surplus store, whip out a $20 and from different wooden barrels select either a SMLE, 1917 Enfield or a 1903a3 of you choice and get change back. No form 4473 needed.

In 1963 the NRA would sell to members an M1 carbine for $20 + $4.95 sh, right to your door. I wanted to get one but my dad said I probably couldn't hold it steady to fire it, being only 7 years old at the time.

Back when I was still in the Navy, I walked into a gun store, bought a .17HMR rifle with a scope and walked out. It was remarkably quick, and it was also in California, so I'm sure the background check went through. They didn't have the access to check my clearance which would preclude the background check immediately, considering the extensive interviews that family and friends went through. Anyway, I have only purchased C&R since 2006 so it was just cash on the barrel.

Some Grendel ammo. I couldn't find brass for anything less than a buck a round and picked up a hundred rounds of steel case ammo to hold me over until there isn't a shortage. And unlike other steel case ammo, it actually performs pretty well.

I don't mind spending money on good brass, but not in an auto loader that's going to beat up the case and fling it who knows where, making it hard to recovery all of them. If I spent $100 on 100 pieces of Lapua brass I'd be super annoyed every time I lost one.

Picked up another pair of Magpul G17 magazines as well as an XTS Oops kit spring and detent pack from Academy.

I may have gotten screwed on a couple springs in the XTS pack, though. I seem to be short 2 takedown detent springs.

Probably not worth contacting XTS over, though.

Send an email to their customer service account with a pic and a scanned copy of the receipt. Be polite, clear, and concise. I’d wager they send you a free replacement.

I'll have to find the receipt first, but I'll give that a shot. Thanks, 91Eunoz.

ETA: Well, I officially can't find any sort of contact info for XTS. They have no Facebook presence and Google only shows me their stuff for sale, but no company website.

So it looks like I may be screwed.

ETA 2: So I just did a quick check and I'm short two takedown detent springs, but I've got one extra buffer retainer spring and one extra takedown detent pin.
