For the Prepper who has everything

Post by Stercutus » Tue Aug 20, 2019 5:58 pm

Palm Beach, Fla.-based Jet Lease has listed a 1980 F-16 A/B Fighting Falcon for sale -- and the rare offer made waves online.
This is not your average “used” fighter jet – the plane is a fully functioning combat aircraft and not demilitarized, according to The Drive.

Just need to know where to get some linked 20mm and LAU-68s.

Only a mere 8.5 million... Sadly someone like Black Water or Academi will buy it and probably use it. While I would have happily worn the cool helmet and made zooming noises.

As a Knight of the Sovereign Military Order of Sealand I should have no trouble at all purchasing this for the Kingdom's defense. Right?

I'll have to start playing the lottery though to have any chance of buying it...

I always thought the F-16 was one of the most beautiful combat aircraft ever built. Not $8.5M beautiful, mind you. But beautiful nonetheless.

At one point Kit did have a jet engine in his trunk. And they never did explain how he could take off and fly over objects without using a ramp. But what the F16 really needed was that armor that reflected bullets back to the source. If they ever marketed that guns would be obsolete.

I don't need a fighter jet.

I don't need a fighter jet.

I don't need a fighter jet.

I can't fly one, the local airport probably doesn't have a hangar I could use and the storage fees would be nuts.

Although, I probably could offset some of the cost by renting the jet to the local PD or maybe one of the air museums out here.

Signature Aviation at the airport in Midlands can hook you up with a hangar at reasonable rates. Give them a ring at 432-563-2033.

Trust me when I say the last thing this world needs right now is an easily entertained chimpanzee with access to a fighter jet.

I bet the Midland one has a hangar. Y'know, that whole thing where they're trying to bill it as a spaceport.

Plus then it's closer to me and I can play with it.

You should call your local airport and ask. I'm sure for that for a reasonable fee, they could provide lessons and hanger space.

Probably. If it wasn't for the fact I'm saving up to buy a house, I'd be all over this jet.

Well, if I had an extra 8.5 million bucks just hanging around, I mean.

So... we're setting Chimpov up with a GoFundMe for the jet? Cool, I'm in for $100, provided I get to use it on spammers.

I am also in but we need to upgrade to an AI package so that people can log on remotely and send the jet where it needs to go. An Area 51 recon overflight is practically mandatory.
