USMC Urban Combat Training
At Camp Pendleton I've seen mostly modified steel shipping containers instead of concrete block buildings.

Re: USMC Urban Combat Training
I think that's range 131 that is fully built brick city but yeah most of the MOUT ranges there are converted conex boxes. I got to do an airsoft game on the MOUT town near AREA 33 (Kilo 2) last year. Was a great time. Even if it was connex boxes haha. They setup all the doors so they could be kicked in. Now that was a blast in and of itself.
131 even has it's own sewer training tunnels
I've been though it one time. And that was MCT when we were on a long hump and went though there. It was creepy since there was nothing going on. The group I got to do airsoft with on KILO2 is setting up a game this year on range 131.

Thanks for the link! I monitor radio communications that come out of Pendleton and lots of interesting things go on.jeepinbandtrider wrote:I think that's range 131 that is fully built brick city but yeah most of the MOUT ranges there are converted conex boxes. Rather than start a new thread I will tack this video on here. I'd love to get some horseback skills.

As an addendum to horsemanship, pack animals are also a good thing to get accustomed to as they not only make it easier to move larger loads, but having two or three horses that you can swap loads and saddles around helps keep any of them from getting too worked over. Pack goats, burros, donkeys, mules - they all make great pack animals in their own ways.
Politics is like having two handfuls of shit - one that smells bad and one that looks bad - and having to decide which one to put in your mouth.

I was out one time on a return from the top of a local peak and these critters were heading up the trail with full loads
