Can I get a bit more than that? How many, of what, and what were you having done to them?

I've been charged for my OD anodized upper/lower combo (s/n 0009) which is a good sign but no word via e-mail, PM or phone (left two or three messages) re: shipping. I have a rapidly closing window of opportunity to pick it up in FL when I'm down there registering my car, etc. before moving on to Texas.

I sent them my FFL's info but Jason responded to a much older PM about availability... I "hope" they got the info but no feedback.

Jason: if you're reading this I will be in FL until the 21st. If y'all can't send it to the FFL (sent to you via PM and on your phone message) before that date please hold the lower/upper until I get to TX then we'll figure it out. It will be more complicated since I'm a FL resident though...

My order number is 358. I guess I ordered right after you did, Pete.

I sent another follow up email on June 5th but still no response. My card hasn't been charged. I just sent another polite email tonight asking if they have any updates on the status of the order.

Are these still up for grabs? Could someone please give me the details ? If not would anyone like to get rid of theirs? Thanks.

My matching OD upper/lower showed up Friday... Very, Very Nice piece of kit! I had to delay my trip to TX by a day but well worth the wait!

Pics later... Can't wait for the build!

I don't think so. They are filling orders for a group buy that wrapped up in March from what I understand.

Okay, I finally finished assembling my lower...

Image
From this...

To this!

Image

I'd had an inquiry about painting the rollmarks... it's pretty easy, though annoying. I use Testor's enamel and thinner...

Image

And these teeny paintbrushes...

Image

Use paper cups (NOT PLASTIC!!!) and mix a bit of paint with thinner and mix it up... I always wound up using more thinner than paint, but I've heard that you only need a little bit of thinner. The theory is that you get a dab of paint on the brush and touch the rollmarks, and the paint just flows into the lines... I have patience issues and I oftentimes just kinda brush it on.

Let it sit for ten to twenty minutes, then take a cleaning patch and CLP and gently clean off the excess... the paint in the lines should stay while you rub off everything on the surface of the lower. If you screw up, just more CLP and elbow grease will make it clean again...

For some reason, filling in the ZS was extremely difficult. It took many layers of paint to make it look good, then it was very difficult to clean around it without removing the paint in the marks, but I got it eventually.

The upper is being made by the guys at Addax Tactical... hopefully I'll be able to pick it up next week.

For my markings i just used paintpens i had laying around and painted over them, and let it dry. I tried to keep the paint outside the lines to a minimum and had to do the ZS several times. For the ZS i just pressed the paint pen down till there was enough paint to flow where i wanted it.

When i was all done i took a Mr Clean magic eraser and it took the paint off where i wanted it to and left the paint inside the markings

Very cool. I guess I'll actually have to call them to see if they're going to make the one I ordered as well. It's awesome they did this for us, but I can't say I'm very interested in doing business again with them in the future.....

Agreed.

I've sent three emails over the last few months but no response. I've tried calling twice. Let me know if you have any success with reaching them.

I called and gave them the order numbers. They are going to call me back. Anyone else still waiting on theirs to be shipped?

I will say, when I talked to them on the phone, the first time the response was "Oh, I sent you an email a couple of weeks ago, you must not have gotten it." Not to mention a few other things that were said that in the end were not entirely true. But it is a good quality lower. Not going to do business with them again though.

I got an email back and they are going to get them out asap and even knocked a bit off the price for us having to wait so long and call to follow up. I'm looking forward to getting mine now. :-)

I tend to agree. The lowers are very nice. But I get the impression that they are a small shop, and they have bit off more than they can chew. I wrote to them several months ago about getting one of their 80% lowers with the same markings and a 0000 serial number, and never heard back from them. I apologize again for all the issues with this group buy. But at least we seem to have gotten a good batch of lowers out of it. :D
