OPEN CHAPTER MEETING SAT JUNE 23, 10 AM, KENT, WA

Hello Chapter Members,

We have some business to attend to for some upcoming events like the Red, White and Dead Zombie walk which is less than two weeks away from today. So we need to have a meeting. That meeting is going to be held on Saturday June 23, 2012 at Cascadia Tactical starting at 10:00 am in Kent. The meeting will last roughly until 1:00 pm.

We will be discussing Red, White and Dead and the preparations we need to make for the event, also the Tacoma Zombie Festerval and the Summergeddon trip. This is an open meeting for ALL chapter members, so if you reading this and you are able to get to Kent please feel free to attend.

Hmmm, I'd like to go, this month's gas money's tight (and my car is owned, but it is a gas guzzler) - if anyone's heading there from the Bellevue-Redmond-Overlake area could I carpool & pay reasonable gas money maybe? (I had an unexpected cost hit me, after I'd spent money on needed tools, dang mechanical things LOL) I could meet at some place like Factoria or Eastgate or something? We'll see I guess.

I have to work so I wont be there. I'm also working the weekend of Red White and Dead so I'm unavailable for that too.

I do have time off for Summergeddon, August 17-19th, so I'm curious to hear what is discussed at the meeting about it.

Don't know if I'm going to be there or not for the open meeting... there is a conflict with the Tacoma Highland Games...

HOWEVER:
Sign myself and my dear husband up for Red, White & Dead~ We would like to help set up, so pencil us in early if you can.

ALSO: Do we need anymore Disaster Prep handouts from the State (believe it or not they are asking )

Well, this is the weekend of the WAC show and we have three tables paid for, so Chy and I won't be able to make it...

However- If anyone wants to drop by our table beforehand to pick up Festerval posters and flyers to hand out at the meeting, we will have them there. We tend to be near a door in the middle of the hall, so we won't be too hard to find.

Well, here's post-meeting update-at the WAC show we confirmed several more preparedness vendors and instructors for the 2012 Tacoma Zombpocalypse. (Thrive freeze-dried foods and Prepper's Warehouse now confirmed). Two new instructors confirmed for An introduction to counter-zombie martial arts (Sensei Tracy Corder), and Food storge, water purification, and field kitchens in the zombpocalypse (Ken Mathis of "Getting Prepped"). We would really like the chapter to host the Bug Out Bag/Get Home Bag classes- but we are running out of tables fast. We will keep one open for the chapter as long as we can, but really need to hear back soon...
