First Look!







As announced on the FB page, Chapter 19 has been asked to provide personnel for a movie shoot in Denton. Filming will for our part will be Sunday, July 2, 2012. More details will be posted as they are made available. So far, we are to bring our survival gear. Weapons will be limited to airsoft which will be disguised on set. Yeah, cheesy but then this ain't really Hollywood with a Hollywood budget so we have to make do. The website for the film is http://www.lettherebezombies.com

I met with the Director, Andrew Patterson and his wife Lara. We talked about the film, about who were and what we do. He's really enthusiastic about us being a part of the production. Our part will basically be providing extras for the survivor's camp. Then there will be an epic zombie battle of some description. Yes, this movie will be full of campy humor apparently. There will be one or two small speaking roles. I nominate Sgt Woody to be the Burt Gummer-type guy. As this is supposed to be a group of zombie survivors, they want all ages on the set. So I guess children and teens are welcome. We are to bring as many camp props as we can. This means tents, packs, ammo cans, boxes, lanterns, cots, chairs, clothes lines, just any thing that you saw on the first season of the Walking Dead. Although there will be a battle scene, we really didn't discuss it yet. If anyone wants to try to convince the guy we would be safe enough to bring our real hardware, PM me for his email. There will also be a Behind-the-Scenes documentary filming going on at the same time. And that's all the news for now.

... by this you mean an elite team of undead slaying BAMF's battling the zombie hordes right? lol, wonder what the battle scene will entail. if this is in the middle of nowhere i think he should let us bring out real steel, would be good for visuals and he won't have to add effects in later

The wife is taking the day off, so the whole family will be there if they let us.

We don't have to register as volunteers on the film site. That's for average people, not trained professionals like us.

I've been a set armorer/weapons master for the past decade on a number of indie films. I wonder if he would like to have any supervised blank fire on set.
