Must have gotten in some more since I last checked on Friday. I'll have my friendly, local gun store order one for me. I like going in there to pick stuff up: gives me an excuse to talk to the guys there. They're pretty cool, but I feel awkward just going in taking up time talking and not really doing anything.

I always buy SOMETHING whenever I go in, even if it's just a few targets or a bottle of gun oil.

I think those are loose on both mine, as well. Don't fuck with it, nothing is wrong unless the pin can actually slide out.

I'm only going to buy one for now so here is my dilemma.
Firearms I would like to suppress: Draco AK, 14mmLH thread, 7.62x39
10.5 SBR AR, standard thread
AKS74U, 24mm thread, 5.45x39
SGL21, 24mm thread, 7.62x39
Is there a 'one size fits all' or do I need to bite the bullet and purchase multiples?

Oh Newton!--please don't think the guys that work at the local gun shop know shit, dick, or ass about guns. They might know about your Ford Explorer but that doesn't mean they have any meaningful input on Aimpoint locations. I'll quote myself when I say, "The guys at the local gunshop aren't exactly fountainheads of knowledge" (And I say that with good damn reason!)
With only some small exception, guys that work at gun shops don't know shit--other than selling shit to people don't need it, which feeds their commissions.

Got a copy of the Adaptive Kalash video. I haven't watched it all yet... but it's already given me more food for thought in terms of how the rifle can be set up.
Does anyone have thoughts on the Krebs Custom Mark VI safety? It has a larger tab for thumb sweeping the safety on and off. Looks like it might add a little speed to the safety on/off mechanics. Kind of want one now.
Can the ARES sling drop into the AK without extra hassle? Got the MASH hook for the front, and thinking the read swivel would be more than adequate for any two point sling... though I might also have to experiment with placement/wrapping, or moving the swivel. Need to review that article a little more.

I can't really seem to find a whole glut of information about them like you can with WASR's or Arsenals.
So far I've gathered they're made from thicker stampings, have non-chrome lined barrels, are imported irregularly and seem to be decent.
Obviously this is not the kind of objective, performance-related info I desire, so I figured I would ask those infinitely more qualified than myself to provide their expertise.

No Chrome=No Go. For a srs business rifle anyway. Furniture is also hard to get for it, though the Yugo length handguards may lend themselves to be more appropriate for modern rifle techniques. For a fun gun or interesting combloc piece, go for it, they're well typically well made, even the Century ones are OK. Shame about the lack of chrome though, pretty much the only deal breaker.
