1sr437 - I noticed your sig... See my tick & chigger remedy in the posts above. We had a really mild winter so the bugs will be bad. Also, the news is reporting record high cases of lime disease in MO spread by ticks. I know people who have it and there is no cure. Something to think about for all of us going.

I don't know what a Chinese wonder shovel is but I want one! I'm out in the woods right now marveling at the wonders of the iPhone. I'll try to look it up after this.

To really experience the Chinese wonder shovel, he's going to have to see it for himself in-person.

OK, I just did all the research and have concluded that a Chinese Wonder Shovel is a necessity! Tell how many American dollars to bring. If you're sold out that's OK. But at least let me handle one.

that's pretty awesome....

of all the people who should be selling Chinese wonder shovels from the black market...

Its rather fitting that its you

that is a pretty good price, but sadly I don't expect to have the cash... I might get a pair of five fingers before zcon, just cant decide between five fingers or skeletoes... I sell the skeletoes at work and would get them for a great price, they just feel like a cheap nockoff

I, myself am bringing my skelitoes with me and i love mine.. they are still solid but they have a bit more of a sole on them than the five fingers.. it ultimatly is about personal preference

So.. I know that ZS doesn't own the property... but last year trying to find my hammock in the middle of the night was quite difficult

Can I place some fire tacks along the trails ?
I have some and am more than willing to leave them if its cool with the owner
if not I can remove the last night..

if your not familiar a firetack is basically a ultra reflective push pin so the trees would be no worse for ware

they shin super bright even with only minor illumination.... would make midnight navigation a snap... I keep some in my BOB for this reason... getting lost on a bathroom trip blows

Fire tacks should be okay PROVIDED YOU REMOVE THEM.

The property is pretty enough without you leaving it looking like the goddamned rhinestone cowboy.

Hey guys, sorry but we can not place fire tacks in the trees, per the owners request. Many people bring glow sticks to hang on or above their hammock or tents to help with identification at night.

Thanks!

You may want to consider a few strips of reflective tape.

I have always considered solar powered ground lights to be a good option for such a problem. They are portable, relatively inexpensive, solar powered, lights mostly pathways and ground, and not too bright. You might have to tie them to steel stakes though to position and secure them on that ground though. I have not got any yet but I believe they would be great for lighting up camp trails or a camp.

not sure how much light the solar panels would receive under the trees

I think I know what I will be doing,

yea chemlights work... but you need to reset them everynight... and it seems like such a waste

I will probably be camping up in the clearing way up top, so a bread crumb trail to my site would be a nice thing at night... I had issue last year in the middle of the mountain, and sober :gonk:

Two weeks, folks! Time to start packing!
I survived Archons 9-35 and counting.

I survived Zombie Con 2008 with probably more dignity than I had before!
I survived Zombie Con 2009 with the first creature to gain nurishment from my teat.
I survived Zombie Con 2010 with the fewest amount of hangovers ever experienced at a ZS event!
I survived Zombie Con 2011. Barely.
