I don't consider there to be one. If you can't hunt with it it's not very useful for your survival.

A survival knife is an overrated piece of crap with a hollow handle and a bunch of useless trinkets in it, that will break when you sneeze on it, and a hunting knife is a knife you take with you when you hunt.

i have that solid sword machette thing. its pretty cool actually and one of the better crappy swords i have. i recomend getting it from budk like kyle said though.

Listen if you want to kill a zombie real good use a TRENCH SPIKE. If you dont know what this is it is a WWI and WWII nife used to stab through the helmet of an opponent and go clear through to the brain. The trench spike is a nife but for a grip it is brass nuckles. this is a hard thing to find but if found this could possibly be the best zombie killin weapon ON EARTH. If this is found BUY IT!!!!!!

There's another thing that almost nobody has considered when we discuss (over and over) the trench spike.

Uh, it's just a knife. With brass knuckles. But show me something you can do with a trench spike that I can't do with a knife, and I'll give you a dollar.

Course, a knife is actually MORE versatile...

Thats what Im saying, a trench spike is just an ice pick with brass knuckles, wow thats inovative, it has no other use unless your serving cocktails in the paw, it WAS an affective weapon during the war becouse they were killing regular normal humans, I see problems with melee weapons getting way to close to be affective, but with this you'd have to be right in front of them, at least with most other tools you may get a few feet of distance.

My choice for a good blade is my cold steel htc kukri, as I wouldnt normaly choose this tool for battle Ive personally chopped through anything you can imagin with it, its only 17oz so its very light and can be swung for hours without tireing, the carbon V steel holds an edge very well, and it can go through a 2/4 in three strikes. Ive owned most expencive machettes on the market and honestly nothing compares.


I also oun a suvival golok, which is a very intence tool the only reason I wouldnt choose this tool instead is the fact that I dont want to replace the handle if it breaks and it out weighs the kukri by several pounds.

They do some intence tests on my kukri(actually I have the rare 20in cold steel kukri and he tests the 18in) but it was his tests that made decide to try the golok.

I collect japanese swords and weapons... I'd probably only carry a tactical style fixed blade tanto on me utility purposes and last resort defence, most other weapons would be effective, but not nearly as effective as my under over

i like the idea of haveing a trident. you can keep them far away and if you dont killem than push em agianst a wall and have someone in your group to do it. i wouldnt use this as a primary but if you have a rifle and a pistol with this mounted on our back than you should do good. but it is quite big.
