Maybe is it's in the direct sun, even then auto glass has UV blockers in them. OTOH, synthetic materials in cars can become dried out and brittle. So, it's the same with any "plastic", keep it out of the sun.

Oh yeah...definitely out of the sun, I'm talking about the trunk and glove box.

I've had one of their bags in the back of my SUV under the cargo shade for quite q while and it is doing fine. No worries about their gear in my opinion.
Hoping to bring back common sense to the prepping community.

Yup, I keep mine in the back seat (az). It's been three years and still in excellent shape.

I'm curious, what made you ask this question?

The truth is...I have a cheap canvas duffel bag, in the truck that I don't care about...and wanted to put my FR-1 pouch in the glove box that I do care about.

Like I said I knew it was a stupid question.

I think you misunderstand. What made you think it may become brittle? Has your cheap duffle done this?

Nah...I know what you're talking about. It was just a thought....my luck I'd put it glove box and something would happen. It's like this handgun bag....it stayed in my closet until I went to the range, well one day I went to open the side pouch and the velcro from the main bag came off with the tab. The bag for some reason became real brittle.

I worry about stupid stuff I guess.
