Why wouldn't you want one?

I don't know nuthin' about the Accupoint, but I really, really like my SWFA 1-4 SS: http://swfa.com/SWFA-SS-MRAD-Scopes-C4225.aspx

RickOShea wrote:williaty wrote:RickOShea wrote:williaty wrote:If you're getting galvanic corrosion between the nut and the upper, does anyone use anti-seize on the threads? As a mechanic, I swear by that stuff!
The BCM and PSA uppers look like they have a white lithium type grease on the receiver threads.
Grease is not anti-seize, but I suppose it's better than nothing.
I didn't say that it was. Just said that that's what it looks like comes on the threads from the factory.
ETA: I've never had much trouble removing the barrel from the receiver of an AR, so perhaps someone forgot to put the white lithium grease on JFlagg's PSA upper when it was being assembled.
williaty wrote:OK, having trouble with this. Anyone know who makes a non-forward-assist upper in 5.56 with the M4 ramps and the rail running all the way along the top (so you can match it up to the top rail on the HG)?

JFlagg wrote:My question is, after zeroing, if I remove the scope, then put it back on how well do they hold their zero? Dead on still? Or will I need to do a few test rounds to make sure the scope is still sighted in?

JFlagg wrote:I searched around and only got fleeting mentions of quick connect/disconnect mounts for optics. Specifically I'm wanting to get a set of rings for a 4x scope that I have so I can use it on my AR and plunk varmints. The kind I want are the rings with the base that uses a cantilever to lock onto the rail for quick removal or assembly.
Dave_M wrote:Depends on the mount.

This plus a LPK, and I have everything I need to assemble a lower, yes?

JFlagg wrote:OK, thats what I wanted to hear. I was planning on getting a quality mount, I've built my AR out of all quality parts so far. Wasn't planning on skimping with optics, etc... Just didn't want to buy a mount and it not hold zero after putting it on/taking it off a few times.

Then my advice will be to buy a LaRue mount. With the exception of one Aimpoint who has the original mount, I've got all my AR optics in LaRue mounts. It's so stupid simple and bombproof that I sometimes forget that there are other options.
Caveat: I'm a frikkin' LaRue fanboi. I only wear LaRue caps(cause I got a small head, and they're some of the only ones that fit), and when I BBQ I use LaRue Dillodust on everything...
