Kathy,

I am soooo jonesing for a new post, I pray you hurry. This story has become a part of my day, I am sending the link to all my freinds so they can enjoy. I am typically a patient person but this is killing me. But, I will wait as calmly as I can because I know you are a full time mom and have lots of responsibilities.

Ditto for me; part of my day, part of my personal prepping education, telling my friends, typically patient but this is killing me, will wait as calmly as I can because you have a life outside my need to hear more of this story. But please, come back again and bring back their voices.

(ps. have now read all your other stories too.)

I read it all, laughing at all the MOAR posts - laughing less and less as I got closer to the end. When I hit the 300's I was shaking a bit but could not slow down. All of the sudden the next button quit working. At first I was ok - I told myself theres lots of good stories out there, I started looking for them. I LIED... Oh I read all of the other tales by the great one, they were good but it wasnt the same. I read it all - again. And for the third time I hit the wall, the next button no worky. I can not help myself... moar moar moar moar moar... It was easier to quit smoking

Kathy I can't put into words how much I have enjoyed this story of yours. I know how demanding life can be and for you to take the time to write this epic peace of work is truly appreciated by myself and many more. Not just this story but all of the rest of your story's also I have read them all to completion, or to the last chapter you have posted. I have not up to this point ever begged for MORE openly, but I have reached my limit of endurance and join the ranks asking for MORE, PLEASE.
Thanks for all of your efforts and hard work.

"First place we stopped was the venerable Columbia Restaurant. All the groups got out and helped to empty this place out. The inside was pretty trashed and it was so sad to see it that way. For people that hadn’t been born and raised around Tampa the Columbia might not mean anything to them but for Scott and I this was literally a part of our history. The manager’s office was trashed; it looked like someone was searching for money as the change bag and tills were thrown all over the place and the substantial safe stood broken open and empty. Only the casual scavenger had been through the restaurant. There were still a lot of paper goods and condiments though I told Jim before we brought any of it into Sanctuary I wanted to store it in an outside building and go through it for any roaches and silverfish. I was happy to see a lot of salt and seasonings; we would need them in the coming months as our hunting would need to pick up. I was one of the last people out and I grabbed a handful of the brochures and stuffed them in my pack just to remember the way the Spanish palace used to look."

this part stopped me dead in my tracks, as it is one of my all time favorite places in the world!!!

Kathy,

I hope you finish this story. I have looked around the internet for other stories, I've read some, and I can't find one that stirs emotion like yours. I find that I worry about Sissy and Scott, and all the others of course. I really hope you haven't decided to leave us be, I NEED closure with this story. Please, please send us some more. There are so few things in life that move a person's emotions, so I hate to have this taken away.

She's still posting in at least 1 other story- the Geek shall inherit the Earth got a new post a day or two ago. So, she's around and still writing, but not on this story, yet. She'll get here eventually (when she's done with the others), and the posts will be glorious. I think, too, that the posts here take a lot more work than in her other stories, so we would have to wait a while, anyways, even if she didn't have other ongoing stories.

She's finishing the stories in order now.
This one is more complicated, so is unfortunately down lower on her list.

Personally any post on anything would do.As I said on"Geek",which I do realize she's working on;well I guess getting 3 chapters is better than one.But it does sound like the Indians are getting restless.

Whimper is a good word.

I've read this whole story and I'm reading it again now. I love it and I hope she does come back to it whenever she is able.

BTW-you can copy and paste her posts into a document and send it to a Kindle. She has stated before that she did not mind people doing this.

I knowwwww. I read the others too; good and not the same. I read it all - again, too. Later - again. MJotZY scenes come to my mind often. When I'm doing some kind of prep thing or learning/practicing a new disaster skill What Would Sissy Do or How Did Sissy Do This frequents my thoughts.

Moar please. Please.

Kathy,

I don't know what to do. I worry that you aren't coming back to finish this. I try to keep hope and check for a new post everyday. To my disappointment the only posts I see are "moar, moar" I really don't like that work too much, but I'm beginning to see why people are using it. I won't use it, but I REALLY hope you come back soon with a huge instalment for us to devour.

You say that now, but just wait... I, too, check here and on her blog often, hoping for a morsel. It's worse this week as there's no episode of my methadone podcast, We're Alive - The Zombie Story of Survival. :(

Others have said this. See the replies to them: basically, she's still writing (finishing other stories), and she'll get to this one in her own time. If you want more of her writing, read those other stories- they're really good. I happen to be reading "The Geek Shall Inherit the Earth", which was just updated by Kathy this past weekend.

Don't cry, read some Kathy, and wait patiently.

Kathy,
I figured it was time for me to crawl out of the woodwork and say Thank you! This story is what made me register with the forum so I could skip to the page I left off on. I am an avid reader, and I felt the need to come forward and tell you that I have not been this invested in a story for a LONG time. I connect with the characters, and can easily visit Sanctuary in my mind since I have been there so often. The sign of a great literary work in my opinion is one that can draw emotional response to the presented situations before you realize that it is happening. You would leave a cliffhanger, and I would find myself worrying about the situation, or wishing I could warn the folk of the TTT......and going crazy until I could return to the forums to continue reading.....This has easily been one of the best reads that I have had in a LONG time. Thank you again! You truly have an incredible gift.

And it is with great pleasure and respect that I find myself saying........

Moar?
It's still moving. Shoot it again.

Hi Kathy,
Joined the forum just so I could thank you for this incredible story! On page 92 and can't stop reading it! Thank you for sharing your gift. I want to read ahead and see if this has been published. If so, I will certainly buy copies to share with friends!

Kathy,

I can't believe I didn't think to thank you for this story until now. I'm sorry I forgot to do this, but thank you VERY much for this story. I'm hooked in a good way. Hope to see more soon.

Thanks again,
Bill D.

Thank you RoscoTronic for reminding me to thank Kathy.
