***Please feel free to repost this sale to other forums. Including the pics. Send me a pm and I'll gladly share the html code with you.***

Legion Arms carries a wide selection of AK47 parts (200+). And our newest additions to the site - manufactured here in the US - are two products specifically developed for the prepping community. Much thanks to those that provided input via the forums. I sincerely appreciate all of your help:

One is our 5.8 ounce wood/gas Ultralight Stove. It is 4 x 4.75 inches stowed. It has a 30 minute burn time on one load of wood. And will boil water in 8 minutes - then continue that boil for another 13 minutes - on one load of wood. Of course it will burn as long as you want by simply adding more wood. For more information visit - http://www.ultralightstove.com They sell for $19.99 plus $4.99 flat rate shipping CONUS. With the discount it's $17.99 for the stove and $4.99 flat rate shipping CONUS. If you'd like to purchase from outside of CONUS please contact us via info@legionarms.com for a shipping quote outside of the CONUS.

(If you'd prefer to purchase using Paypal you can find us on Ebay at http://www.ebay.com/itm/190672882352?ss ... 1555.l2649 However I don't know how to apply the discount in Ebay. I guess I could always refund you the 10% in Paypal.)

as much as I like deals, it's getting a bit cluttered in here with vendors posting in here with ZS discounts. I still hold firm to - if you want to advertise on GLP, you should have to buy a banner.

At Target for $10.99. Weighs .2lbs, comes with 8 solid fuel cubes. Anybody got experience with these? Thinking about adding to my BOBs, worth it?

Looks like a deal, thus why I'm posting it in here.

It's the same as an Esbit stove, which seems to be fairly popular here.
10.99 isn't a bad price, but it's not great either. I found one on Ebay for $8 shipped. However, if you're already in Target, it's probably not worth the hassle of looking elsewhere.

So it is something useful and not crap. good to know. It's a target "online only" thing, so ebay may be the better bet then. Thanks!

I agree to a point.

This thread to me should be deals like "Hey, Dollar General has Strike anywhere matches this week 4 packs for a buck." or walmart is discontinuing the survival thingimybob that was overprices at 20 bucks... Clearance is a buck..."

Id rather have a vendor thread to allow for specific feedback without going thru pages of info. If there was a vendor catigory under traiding post to allow for this then when I wanted to go spend some money i could go windowshop there...

A deal is a deal. And when it comes to vendors giving ZS deals, I believe the expression, "Don't look a gift horse in the mouth" applies. Maybe it takes an experience of working with ZS to prove we're a viable advertising market before paying for the banner. If I were advertising, that's exactly what I'd do before paying.

My point was not that I did not like seeing the vendors. I would just like the seperation... When I wanna spend the money, I will go to the "These are the vendors that take care of ZSers" thread instead of fish thru the wally world, Target, so and sos garage sale thread... I browse those just so next time im at wally world. Neighbors garage sale... I have an idea of best deals and going prices.

I think maybe it could go one step further. I have seen on other forums/websites and it works great. Have the 2 threads. ZS sighted deals and Vendors providing deals.... then have a VIP vendors thread... Those that have proven themselves to the ZS community. Above and beyond customer service, Longstanding relationship of deals to ZS members, And they only get to that thread by being voted into it by the community as if a perminate place in the forum or their own thread of deals...

I was just agreeing with the poster that there is a lot in this thread now 169 pages... Just my 2 cents...

This is a great deal, 20+ dollars less than they are in stores and through other Ribz dealers, including those on amazon.

For now I think this is the right place for any deals, whether it's a special offered by a vendor to ZS or something available to everyone. If we get to where we get a lot of vendors offering discounts and it becomes a distraction we'll happily revisit the topic. But right now the discussion about vendor discounts for ZS (which I love, btw) has more posts in the last week than the actual vendor discount posts. :-)

So for now, this thread remains for deals, whether it's something for anyone on the internet, one thing on sale, a discount code or a special offer a vendor is making to ZS members. If anyone thinks this is a bad call, feel free to engage myself or any of the other mods in PM.

Ditto.

I strarted this thread with that intent and it has been awesome. It was never intended that someone read through 170 pages. It works great if you just check the updates.

The only distractions are for people that want it to be something different. This is not a vendor discussion thread nor for gear reviews. If you have a deal, post it and thank you very much. If its not a deal it belongs in another thread. If you just absolutely have to put something, start a seperate thread and insert a link here but then use the other thread. Above all this is not a discussion thread.

That said, I guess I should add a deal I saw;

(Almost) Free EDC LED flashlight - complete survey and pay $3.50 shipping.

http://www.coastportland.com/surveyCC.php

It's for the Coast brand G10 Waterproof LED flashlight. A quick spot check on Google showed the cheapest price in the wild is $6.44 plus shipping at Adorama (currently out of stock). Most places want $10-$12.

Image

Specs:
32 lumen light output
2 hour 45 minute runtime
24 meter (78 ft) beam distance
Max Beam Optic System
Lightweight aluminum casing
Rear on/off switch
1 X AAA battery (included)
Impact and water resistant
1.2 ounces (including batteries)
0.6 inch diameter

Particulars: follow the above link (or if you're concerned about such things, google "Coast Flashlights home", go to their webpage and look for the link that says "Free Gift Offer"). Answer a few short questions about a recent Coast purchase (I discussed a flashlight I looked at at Home Depot and had briefly thought about buying), and share a few words about your ideal flashlight/knife/mult-tool. I don't get the impression that you need to be very elaborate.

Then you have to give your credit card information (another reason not to blindly follow my or any other link you find on the internet), opt out of receiving some junk emails and supposedly you'll get your light in 4 weeks. I'll let you know when I get mine, but this is another of those "what the hell, why not?" things.

I actually have been looking for a slim, single AAA LED light to add to my keyring, so this looks like it could be a good fit.

My sentiments exactly, good find, not bummed about the pricetag either. I'll probably lose it, or it'll corrode like my old Fenix E01.

On the flip side of JT_of_JFF's costco post I'll offer the following Sam's Club offering which also handles emergency supplies for those who have Sam's but no Costco -

http://www.samsclub.com/sams/shop/produ ... ction=push

This is a 1 year, 1 person, supply for $900. I picked up two to supplement my families preps early on after laying in the basic bulk supplies because after pricing out as compatible as I could get amounts of the same supplies at various other places, usaemergencysupply, honeyville gains etc, I couldn't come close to the same pricing. It gave us a cheap needed variety to go with our staples as well as tacking on another several months to our self sufficiency.

One delivery will mostly fill your standard 24" hall closet. If you take them out of the boxes you can pack them in tighter.

It comes with a small hand operated, "well it's better than nothing'" grain mill included. I wouldn't depend on it lasting longer than the grain that's in the supplies and it doesn't grind fast. Frankly I see it only of use as a trade good if the world ever poops itself.

We've been in the process of sampling the product over the last six months or so, the apples rehydrated make a decent pie and turnovers, the bananas are good as snacks right out of the can, the hard winter wheat makes decent bread and great chocolate chip cookies and is easily on par with Honeyville's grains, the oats are excellent slow cooked overnight on low. Somehow in all my ordering over the last year we ended up with an ass load of bacon flavored TVP which is about as good as TVP gets FWIW.

We have no real complaints on any of it.

Bug Out Gear Deals (Post 'em when you find 'em) I

Postby benja455 » Fri May 11, 2012 4:17 am

I don't expect the good deals to last very long, so you might want to jump on this ASAP.

Everything at http://www.palmettostatearmory.com ships free until Monday…that includes heavy stuff like guns and ammo.

They have complete AR uppers…they have tons of accessories…but obviously the major savings can be found on ammo:

7.62x39 - http://palmettostatearmory.com/index.ph ... r-fmj.html ($4.38 a box or $219 – shipped per 1k)

9mm - http://palmettostatearmory.com/index.ph ... acket.html ($10.49 a box for Blazer Brass)

.22LR - http://palmettostatearmory.com/index.ph ... -pack.html ($17.99 for a Federal 525 Value Pack)

Given the free shipping, no sales tax and no time/gas driving to buy this stuff…I think these are killer deals.

Sale saturday and sunday only. http://www.desertdeucesurplus.com/ Is having a 20% off sale using coupon code TACTICAL. Great cold weather gear and camo/uniform deals. This weekend only. Also 25% off 24-7 pants.

For example:

Gen I ECWCS parka WITH liner is $85 plus 20% off is $68!!!! If you don't have cold weather gear now is your chance. If you can't live with ACU. Other colors are just a bit more or don't come with the liner. But they sell liners for $20 plus 20% off. Cheapest I have ever seen.
