So I'm not sure this belongs in here (it is fiction tho) or Zed training films (I chose here as it's not Zed related...)

Wrote, directed & produced my first short film a couple semesters ago for my classes. $500 budget, 17 person crew (2 cast in there) and all shot on a Canon 7D with a redrock micro setup. Figured I'd share it here. It's set post-apoc, chick comes back to her shelter for the night and things get ugly...



My DP won the semester's "Best Cinematography" award (beating out the $5000+ major campus productions that semester) - on that note for any of the film ppl here, our lighting consisted of flashlights and bounce boards

Oh and before somebody else says it, yes, my actress had never handled a weapon before in her life. I tried to show her, but it was lucky for us this was an airsoft.

Ever thought of posting a project on Kickstarter?

At some point I may. I'm taking Video Production II this summer semester, and Screenwriting. Have some ideas, might try and shoot one. I'm more a sound guy, but for my AAS I had to take the production classes and thought I might as well go all out. Most of the rest of the class made 30 second PSA's or edited together home video of their cats.

Hmm, sorry, but I don't get it. Possession of what? We could have had a better clue as to what they were trying to kill each other over. It looked like a goth container of Dungeon & Dragon cards to me.

And, after he knocked her block off, why would he leave her backpack and weapon behind?
