Your recipe files include UNIMIX and homemade oral re-hydration solution. And you're looking for a recipe to make Plumpy'nut at home.

If your emergency fuel storage outweighs your non-bov vehicle.
If you have enough spare parts, fluids & tooling to completely rebuild your BOV.

^Genius.

You live in one of those countries (like ForgeCorvus and I do) and upon seeing a sweet example of unusually extra awesome Preparedness GunPr0n you immediately start subconsciously calculating what sort of shooting competition clubs you will need to join and hunting pursuits you will need to take up in order to be allowed to buy one*.

-you have a bayonet for your shotgun (or either a mall ninja)
-you even have MRE for your pets
-you actually collect enough rainwater that you don't even need the running water.

Whenever you buy something to address a prep need, you try to figure out how it will fail, what you can do to jury rig it, and what other needs it creates.

you know you are a prepper when getting a glass of milk involves reading the directions to make it.

You might be a prepper if your thanksgiving dinner ingredients that you are eating now were bought last year (or OLDER) and you are just rotating them out.

You might be a prepper if you actually get disappointed when the electricity comes back on while you are trying to dig out your blackout preps.

When a date is going really well and they ask if you have protection you show them your CCW permit.
