Just putting up a quick review, picked this up a few days ago for about $22 on Amazon. Doesn't seem to be too bad, it has 5 modes(solid beam in 220, 110 and 22 lumens, an S.O.S. mode, and Defensive Strobe, both 200 lumens) Although other sites have disputed the intensity, regardless it is very bright, more than enough to blind in CQC or illuminate a path on foot or bike. NEBO also makes rail and shotgun mounts for these, and they have light/laser combos for pistols w/underbarrel rails too. In order to change modes, you lightly tap the button in the base twice to cycle to the next one. After 20 seconds of being left off, it goes to the default 220 solid beam. The base has a magnet in it strong enough to hold the light horizontally or inverted, and the front has a strike face that while not razor sharp, could definitely do some damage if necessary. The lens is severely convex(almost like a glass ball cut in half), and the entire bezel rotates, moving the lens away from the light, and magnifying the beam. It uses 3 AAA batteries. There are a few downsides; the red ring(very stupid in my opinion) emits a slight glow when used, and is very weak, which makes no sense for a light with a bezel designed for striking(this thing would definitely crack after one good shot). A replacement can be ordered from eBay in Aluminum or Delrin for about $8, and I'm waiting on mine now. The bulb is not recessed much from the front of the bezel, so it's pretty susceptible to damage from normal use/carry.
The most important part/fix, which I couldn't find and had to figure out, is that my light arrived with its lens floating loosely between the bezel and the LED; I wasn't sure if it was supposed to be glued to the LED face(unlikely) or glued to the bezel(still kind of odd). Turns out, this was assembled incorrectly; the lens should have been sandwiched between the strike bezel and the red plastic ring, then the ring screwed into the rotating bezel part. I tried to remove the ring, which was stuck to the bezel tightly, with a pair of pliers, and it cracked VERY easily(kind of expected, but I'm not concerned with the aluminum replacement coming in), I grabbed it a different way and was able to screw whats left back in.
That little fix aside, I think it's a great value and a workable light overall. If anyone has any questions on it fire away as I'm still learning more about it and giving it some to impress or disappoint.
