Love the show, I've heard rumors though that the zombie episode was their last one. Anyone in a position to confirm or deny? I'm still dying to find out who the Marine with the CMH is that's on Will's desk In other news holy bad engrish batman!

It was the last episode of the season. A season finale. We got shit lined up for a while.

Are after market parts compatible with this stock? Like Volquartsen hammer, ejector, sear, recoil buffer, and trigger? Would this stock be compatible with the volquartsen receiver and tg2000 trigger guard also? Or is this stock really only compatible with a stock ruger? Thanks.

You're putting the stock Ruger receiver into the kit, so anything that fits into the receiver won't have any issues fitting into the stock. I don't have a TG2000 on hand to try, but I think it'll work. I can't say with confidence, however, as the stock replacement not very luxurious in space around the stock trigger guard. Please see picture below for what I mean. It's a pic of our very first prototype that was SLA produced from our initial CAD model. Kind of a beta model. However, it illustrates my concerns well, I believe.

Joe is a 10/22 nut and something tells me he has the parts you're asking about. Come Monday, I'll see if he has one at home, and can bring it in, and try.

thank you. There are so many after market items. I don't own a 10 22 yet, but did order my RJ stock. So i am trying to build a great 10 22. Like a kidd or volquartsen trigger, kidd receiver, maybe even an integrally suppressed barrel (not sure who sells a 18.5 integral). But i don't want to order these parts and have it not fit. Any guidance you can provide would be awesome.

Basically, if you use a Ruger receiver, or one made to match it - you're GTG.

I got handed a phone call today because a customer was curious about whether or not a receiver like this: http://www.ruger1022receiver.com/ would fit in the kit.

I explained why it wouldn't, and dude was unhappy, but still ordered one to go with a stock Ruger.

I'm hesitant to approve any aftermarket receiver, because the kit has significant reinforcing ribs to stiffen it up beyond what normal kits have (or at least the many we had our hands on) - so this confines the receiver. We also wanted a good frame of contact points around the receiver to support and hold it tightly in place to keep it from jiggling around or shifting like was allowed in a couple kits we played with. This means our bullpup stock really is pretty much made only for Ruger 10/22 receivers.

Most of the point of people making aftermarket 10/22 receivers is so that they can add rails or cool looking shit to it. By nature, this means the receiver is typically larger or has features that protrude from the normal Ruger receiver profile. This negates their usage in our kit.

While it's not hard to switch a gun from a traditional buttstock to our bullpup stock, and back, to me, I see it being a dedicated stock replacement. It would be a shame to hide some awesome looking CNC machined integrally-railed receiver for a 10/22 inside our stock, even if it'd fit. I'm looking to get one for a 10/22 build, and I want it shown off, not hidden :D In my opinion, using a stock Ruger receiver is the best use for our bullpup stock replacement.

This is really excellent info. Exactly the sort of info I needed to prepare for what to buy!!! Thank you for providing it!

(side note: This aftermarket might work, but i assume no guarantees :) The KIDD Classic rifle is a slip-fit receiver design with industry standard dimensions.

One other question for you. Is the scope mounted on a rail that requires removal to clean/take apart the gun? or will the scope remain sighted in when the gun is dismantled for cleaning, etc.

Thanks again.

The stock is a true clamshell that also bisects the pic rail up top. Scope/red dot would require removal, yes. 10/22s can take a lot of rounds before you -need- to clean them though, luckily. Or at least mine did/do. I'll admit the shortcoming of the design however mechanically functional, reliable, and truly centered and rigid mounting was difficult to procure another way with the stock geometry we have to work with.

I think once you marry the boss's daughter your position is a life long commitment. Besides, that I would rather place roshambo with a kick ball champion than have Kris work on my build. For those of you who don't know what roshambo is

The AR build show they did was hilarious. How do you fuck putting an AR-15 together up? I have to assume that a lot of that was BS for the show but come on it's like putting together legos for crying out loud :words:

I can flat tell you that NO SUPPRESSOR can do much for a 12 ga blast. :-) YOu might make it sound like "only" an unsuppressed .45 pistol, but what's the point in that?
