So the air force wears casual boots?![]()
Had to.

I do, but don't ask me to understand it.

Nike, New Balance, Converse, Rockys, Altama, Bates, Blackhawk, Tactical Research and Corcoran.
Oakley's also are quality.
Nothing in sage goretex. I think if I had the money I would buy the Danner 26048's with Goretex. I need the Goretex.
I'm sure the lightweight tactical boots would be much more comfortable and light. But can't find any in sage and goretex.

I have the Sage Green Danners with Gortex...they are really comfy and had a real small break in period...quality boot.

If I had $250 I would buy them. Some day. Right now I will have to make due with the McRae's. The Danner 26058's are awesome looking boots.

So I ask you, am I doing something wrong, is the 'Corps issuing shitty goretex, or am I a freak of nature? My non-goretex lined boots don't do that.

Worth gambling on a pair? That's a smokin good price, but the caveat is that they were recalled after Marines in Afghanistan claimed they were having quality issues.
I don't think they were canceled, we can still get them, and they are authorized for wear.
A couple of guys here have them and a few Corpsman have them down at Medical. One guy's pair looks really ratty and they are still holding together.
Hell at that price I might go ahead and buy me a setI was just dreading another change to the uniform and another 100+ dollars I was gonna have to drop on a new pair of boots.
