I want one in .505 Gibbs.

600gr at 2250fps with 6000ft pounds of energy hitting that target, oh mama that's good stuff.

Here's the "hate thread" for that Mossberg, if you're interested.

I need to bleach and scour my eyes after seeing that. The sad thing is not many will probably sell and they'll be worth some coin if they are new in the box after 50yrs.

Damn my indecision. I was able to find a local dealer with a Silencerco Osprey 45 for $887 out the door, with all paperwork and tax included. I may go with Silencerco at this point. My main concerns are dry performance and flexibility with different platforms and calibers. It seems the Osprey has some pretty good options for alternate threaded pistons so I can run it on my 9mm or .357 mag.

I keep going back and forth on the TiRant and Osprey myself. I'm beginning to think there's no wrong decision between the two.

$887 including the stamp?!!!! If so that's insane and I'd be all over it.

Sorry, I should have said "sales tax included". Luckily I didn't have to pay any sort of transfer fees since it was in stock, which was nice.

I decided to go with the Osprey for a number of reasons, but it was a really tough call. There really is no wrong decision, but I'm happy with mine.

Why so long of a wait? They're not that expensive.

These are my top 5 in no particular order aside from the Garand being first on the list.

Honestly, I'm lusting after a Mauser C97 Model 712. Ever since I first saw one I have loved the look of it.

I used a 1911 when I was in Iraq last. I had to leave it when I left. We contact Colt and they informed us that the serial number was from the early 1930's. The trigger was redone, it had a match grade barrel, the mag well had been flared out, it had night sights, laser grips, a rail, and all sorts of extras. These were the guns that the Bravos carry so it had been getting upgraded a little at a time for years. It was one of the nicest pistols I have ever used. I can only imagine the history that gun has been through. I would love to have been able to keep it. That's the problem with this job. You spend all this time with your weapons, get attached, and then you have to give them back. You just hope the next person who has it has the same respect for it.
