I just don't see the point in giving the guy shit for his hobby, which he actually does quite a cool job with. I like seeing different things, from some of the posts here, its obvious others don't. That was all I meant.

You're being a bit sensitive in that case. Like I said, no one's given anyone "shit" in this thread except for those giving people "shit" about dissenting. Part of posting in internet forums is dealing with criticism, especially when it's subject matter that you KNOW many forum users will be critical of - and judging by your posts you're quite aware of this.

If you want to know my take, read my post at the top of the page. Half of this thread is moral cheer leading and overly defensive posting (trolling) due to the subject matter. I don't think I'll be bumping it any more to simply feed your need to establish a moral high ground.

Considering what? That a guy has a hobby of turning .22's into something he likes?

Really, I'd like to hear the considering part.

Since when is it an issue that someone has a hobby and wants to share it? Last time I checked, our differences are what made life interesting. If we all liked the same thing that really wouldn't be much fun at all.

I didn't say that. You fucked up your quotes.

I was just saying that if you put it out there you open yourself up to good and bad feed back. Also you should be doing it for the sheer enjoyment of doing it and not to impress others. Personally I could give a fuck less what the op does, I don't like that tactical shit anyway.

quick update

Just a recap.

So the Ruger 10/22 idea went out the window. I mentioned I wanted to do the 10/22 because I had a 29 inch barrel to go with it.

Instead I went with a .22 bolt action Marlin XT-22. I also bought a Savage MKII F .22 bolt action that I will also fit inside this M200.

It's 90% done.
Just finished milling out the upper and lower receiver through a lathe and mill
Need to add epoxy putty inside to prevent movement.
Create a bracket to use the existing bolt
Then test fire at an INDOOR range. hehehe

magazine has been gutted out.
upper and lower receivers are already painted flat black

I had to mill out a large chunk of the upper receiver to give free movement for the bolt to move back and forth.

Make sure to look at the pics where the bolt is open and closed. There's plenty of clearance

That's not even probable.

i didnt have to do a barrel extension with this build. its just the OEM barrel and there's about 6 inches of empty space in the M200.

Yea, that's my bad. I hadn't noticed there were TWO MORE PAGES after the one I had just finished reading. I didn't realize discussion had moved on much further :P
