Kushnapup Facebook?

I tried to log into Kushnapup's Facebook page to see if they had any production/shipping updates, and it's giving me the either it's gone, or I'm blocked message. Anyone else have that problem? Yes, I know this is probably vaporware, but I'm still keeping tabs on it.

I was actually very close to doing one of the pre-orders for this, until I found out how long those pre-orders had been going on...and after hearing all of the complaints and etc from those who had already given this company money. I also found it strange that the pre-order counter suddenly stopped at 997 and held there for several months (convenient since 1000 pre-orders is the magical number when the product will actually start being released).

Now I see the price has doubled, yet it's still on "pre-order" status...and on top of that, they removed the pre-order counter. All of that smells like a crooked company's last ditch effort to get their hands on some more money before disappearing completely, which is supported by the fact that they have indeed deleted their facebook page (it's gone for me too). How much do you want to bet that they will come back saying that they never got enough pre-orders to go into production? And how much do you want to bet that, at about this same time, getting a refund will become near impossible to do without actually filing a civil case against these guys? 99% of the people who pre-ordered won't do this, and they know it. And while Kushnapup may be forced to give back some money because of legal threats/actions, they are still going to walk away with fat pockets -- stuffed with the money of those who trusted them, but never did anything REAL to get their money back.

Suffice to say, I got enough bad vibes about this product early on to swallow my "I WANT THIS NOW" urge, and decided it would be best to simply hold out until people started getting these things, and pay a higher price tag at that point IF the price will as still reasonable. At $450, which is about the same cost of a Saiga, i'd say it is already "no longer reasonably priced". At this point, not making the pre-order is really looking like it is about to pay off, unfortunately.

I wish you good luck if you have already given them your money. If you did, I urge you to get a refund while you still can. Ask yourself this, what sort of company deletes their facebook just before launching a product? Seems more like evidence that they already have one foot out the door

I did have a pre-order in last year, but after they pushed back the deadline twice, I got nervous, and got a refund. I just thought that the facebook vanish was suspicious because they were getting a lot of shit because Bjorn(the owner?) spent a lot of time on there harassing and making fun of his customers.

LOL, no kidding. I just feel bad for people who haven't gotten their refund before now, because I think this guy is about to jump ship with the money he's got left.

Kushnapup has been vaporware for years is fucking vaporware. If their internet and advertising presence is starting to evaporate so much the better.

Every few months I come across a new post somewhere about this piece of shit. Every time I read the review the poster seems to think it must be some brand new product because it's still in pre-order, and they haven't heard anyone else talking about it since.

The truth is that no one talks about it because after half a decade of collecting pre-order capital there have been ZERO production results and it's pretty clear the entire enterprise is a scam.
There is no product as there was never an intention to create one, only a prototype and some internet vapor.

When I do try to track down news about this "product", it's mainly to see if that jackass Bjorn has gotten arrested yet. Plus, his treatment of his few remaining customers is like a slow motion train wreck, you can't stop watching in horror.

Quick thing I wanted to point out: I've worked in LE for a while, and something about this situation was nagging at me, and I think I figured out what Bjorn Muller is up to: This isn't vaporware, it's 'neverware'. He's putting off ship dates, and placating people because he's waiting for the statute of limitations on credit card fraud to run out! Sure, he does a few refunds now and then to keep people happy, but sometime this year, most people loose the ability to file a charge, and I'm willing to bet the credit card companies and banks won't reimburse either. I'm guessing even with the returned money, He's still goning to get out with around 100 to 125 thousand.

Hmm, I hope its not that easy. I'm not a lawyer, but even with the statute of limitations, it seems like there should be something that would make this illegal. Fraud maybe?

Too bad, the gun in the video looked like a really fun toy. Never quite got what was up with him finger-fucking the ejection port BEFORE each reload. Checking to make sure he was empty? Manually locking the bolt open somehow...but why? Looked slow and sloppy. I know, I know..."that's bullpups for you." But it seemed like it could be done better than that. I still love the idea of a bullpup Saiga, though.

Can't say I'm surprised. It's a shame really, that product would have made Kushnapup a whole lot of money (legally) if they were to just make the damn things.

Site admin removed it and put up a post about calling bjon. Not sure what the deal is. The original poster said he talked to police in the area and they went to talk to bjorn about possible fraud. He wasn't there, no one lives there. Think he bounced.

Well,if you track the kushnapup.com registration, it's registered to Bjorn out Cali, with an LA #, and a LA address. But he claims to be in Utah, and says he always has been. The Cali registration started in 2010.
