Yup, I've been in there a number of times. The two guys that run the place, Harlan and Mike are decent guys. At best they've had a medium sized selection, mostly focus on stuff they know will sell, but they are happy to order any specific for their customers.

I, sir, mist beg to differ, I thought it was one of the best examples of camp and cheese offered in quite some time. It could only have been made better by John Waters.

Then I must challenge you to a duel. Skanky porn star zombies do not make a good zombie flick. Elements of a good zombie flick:
- Zombie type illustrated through plot opener
- Survivor group forms and does survivor group stuff
- One of the survivors finally gets it and does stuff that makes sense
- All survivors with only a first name suffer Star Trek type death
- Lone survivor sacrifices self to save less likely to survive survivor
- Dubiously hopeful ending

One thing, they must be shamblers. No fast moving zombies.

I agree no fast movers.

Also I might not be able to make it, I am looking to buy a house and it might be happening sooner rather than later. If the purchase happens close to trip date than I am going to have to bail to take care of new house stuff, if not I should be able to make.

For Zombie Strippers I would think a dollar bill would suffice.

So far all is go for my wife and I to be there. I'm trying to get my old bronco on the road before then so I can fit more junk in it, and maybe use as a hauler to the range. If not the ol Subaru will get me there... But not up to the top

OK Guys & Gals, we are a little over two weeks away. I haven't seen a post or heard from the remaining maybes. I would like to get a close to accurate count as possible, as soon as possible.

We normally don't have to worry about spaces there, because the weather is normally still cold to mild-ish this time of year. I have been talking to Will at the Cove and because of the early, nice weather there has been a increase in the amount of people and reservations there this time of year. Right now we have enough space, there are 22-25 of us right now and Murph and friends are getting there own adjacent site. So 4 sites for 25 should be more than plenty in a normal situation. I just don't want to be surprised, like last year when two other big groups made reservations right next to us for the same weekend. Plus we have to take into account weather, some of the other sites near us are prone to being flooded as we found out last year.

So bottom line, is I just want to be "prepared" for all eventualities that may come up. So, let me know if you are a no or a definite-maybe.

Thanks,

Eric

Yep, still going. I am planning on trying out some backpacking food I am making myself. I'll want some volunteers to test with. :)

No, we'll be over at 7/1. Suggested for easy fishing access.

Ooh, fishing - since this is a privately owned lake, is a license needed? Also, is this a kayakable lake? IE, should I bring my kayak? Not sure if anyone has water festivities in mind.

I'm not 100% sure on the license. But you can kayak on the lake, there is a extra boat launch fee. I'd suggest calling them and asking.

No license needed, and it's $10 a day for boat launch:

I'm definitely coming. There are two maybes from my group, but I wouldn't hold my breath. I just sent them a message to shit or get off the pot and let me know for sure.

Murph, you still have the unofficial VA ZS flag?

Yes, I do. :D I was thinking about it earlier today, and that I need to make sure to pack it.

I have some sassafras wood that's been down for about a year - I'm not sure how well it'll split, but I can bring some along for the fire. If it doesn't burn, at least it'll smell good.
