I would agree, Jeriah, buy what you can afford to order by the dozen. Either are solid mags, and ultimately a consumable item.

What's the advantage of this BHO? It's not like there's a bolt release, and as soon as a mag goes empty you reload it right away, so it's not sitting open to cool. I don't get it.

Many do not, that's personal preference. I prefer to know immediately when I fire my last round, when I feel the bolt lock back, rather than when I hear the "CLICK" of an empty chamber. Mag changes remain the same, you just know a bit sooner, and that is tactically useful to me. My buddy modded 3 mags for testing, as I was concerned there could be damage/deformation to the follower from the bolt slamming into it. Him and a buddy tested them compared to a Yugo BHO mag, and they functioned the same, only scratching the follower's finish where the bolt catches. I was concerned that the edge might deform since these do not have a rear plate that extends to the raised area like the Yugo followers.
I want to do some more testing, but you can look forward to a thread on this mod soon.
