Within the next 5 minutes the power gets cut and your neighbor and 2 kids come over to ask about the current situation. One kid has some type of injury that doesn't look familiar to you.
You aren't 100% sure if this is the infection you've been prepping for or not.
What's your plan for the next 24 hours?

You know, I'd be doing my job, but we'd be busy as hades trying to get help to people that needed. We would run out of resources in very short order. With in the first several hours, if zombie movies are anything to go by, the streets would be blocked with wrecked vehicles so emergency crews would be come ineffective, unable to reach patients. And then the crews them selves would be attacked. Law enforcement would be sent to protect vital locations such as the hospitals. The rest would try to go to calls but that really wouldnt happen. Hundreds of calls all about zombies. Come to think about it, EMS wont respond to incidents where they are put in danger. If the EMS guys get hurt they are no good to a patient and now a burden to other responders. They'd stop responding. The fire department might still attempt to respond but hell if I know.
I fear we'd go from working our arse off to not doing much of anything by the end of the first 24 hours. And then we'd turn our attentions to our own families needs.
