I almost purchased the book on Kendle, but the preview was so short I couldn't get a real feel for the book. It seemed like it was promising. A short preview is fine for a $.99 book but anything over that and It needs a bit longer sales pitch. Since you are ZS poster I will go give it another shot. Might even buy the thing now.

Gun_Nut_2k1...you are proabably correct that i need a longer preview. it's just a difficult book to give a preview for. however, one of my reviewers gave an excellent sum up of what you will be buying. check out the randits review. this person did a much better job than i could hope to do

sadly, my little hell raising pitbull sidekick passed away today. those of you that have already read the book will no doubt remember jaxon's dog Merrick. I actually based that character and many of her personality quirks on my own dog of the same name. it's a sad day for me and it' s also the reason why i haven't responded to any posts for the last few days. rowdiest dog i ever knew and she will be terribly missed.

however,,, she will live on in the world of EPUA!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry for the loss of your pup. I don't want to think about the wreck I will be when my dog leaves me. Hang in there man, at least she will live on through your books.

she sure will. i have two more pits that are pretty young and they are keeping my spirits up. my wife is taking it very badly though. merrick was the special one. there's actually a saying, "Old men miss many dogs." it's so true...when i'm old i'll have a list of pitbulls that i mourn. merrick was the second pit i've lost.

Hate to hear that, man. I know how you feel; I lost my beagle a few years ago and he was the best dog I've ever had. It sucks.

I bought the book last night. Not bad so far. I would like to be constructive and say that you need some way to delineate reporter statements from the story a little better. I see that it is enbolded but at times I still found myself thinking one of the characters was saying something that the reporter was commenting on or asking. Still a strong Zombie book. Thanks for writing it.

Bought the book and I love it!! I love how you paint a picture of what's happening as you read it, makes it entertaining to read. I cant wait to read the next book.

I actually hate reading books and this is actually keeping my attention. Love it. Just hate how the zombies can run.... lets just hope they can't actually run when the Z-Day comes.

gun nut. i agree completely!!!! in the origional version, the reporter stuff is in bold and italicized. that makes it very easy to distinguish who is saying what. however, when the book goes through formatting . . . it ends up as you see it on the kindle and it loses the bold type. . not much i can do about it, but maybe as the abilities of the kindle's and other e-readers increase, you folks can see it in it's origional form, which in my opinion looks a lot better. or...if i ever actually make it a paperback, i wouldn't have any problems with bold print there.

outrun, i'm glad you are enjoying it! i'm having a lot of fun with the sequel. i actually debated on whether to have slow zombies or runners, i went with the runners simply because it makes the environment much more dangerous. the slower zombies are classic, but with the situations i placed the characters into... i had to go with the runners. still, in the world of EPUA there are different types of zombies and a whole bunch of other nasty creatures....ya never know.

also, everyone. if you liked the book and you have just a few moments to spare, please leave me a review on amazon. it really does help me out a lot!

Ok after being home for awhile I thought of three El Paso landmarks you could possibly work into your story.

First on my list is McKelligon Canyon it would be a great place got a group of survivors from the Ft Bliss area to make a stand. It offers natural barriers and if you can't get out of the East Side then this would be a great fall back position for survivors.

Second would be the old El Paso tram. Imagine a family or group suspending themselves in that to avoid the zombie hordes. That would be epic.

Lastly would be maybe group of survivors using the El Paso star as a, way to signal for help. Maybe rearranging the lights as an arrow to point the living in the direction of a safe zone. I realize they are all stuck on the westside but if they feel are staging things from Las Cruses then getting to.Ft Bliss by using 54 is feasible. Just some ideas I thought of while diving around El Paso the other day.

I just finished the El Paso Under Attack. I really liked the twist on the Zombie mythos. I liked the pace and the characters. I liked that the side kicks had depth and were individuals. Once I was able to understand the format, with the reporter interjections, it became a very pleasant read. A few small issues bothered me but did not detract from the overall enjoyment of the story. Thanks for writing it.
