North Texas, Potential Meet and Great Camp Trip??

So I have the slight misfortune of living in Sherman Texas.
However despite my mass disadvantages I have managed to get a small group together to go on a gear test/mock bugout camping trip.

We were thinking possibly oklahoma on the arbuckles

I was also thinking of maybe starting a small county sub chapter. A lot of people hate having to drive to Dallas. Not to mention we have two colleges, in the vicinity, that would provide an ample source of personel. We also have a few hiking trails and camp out areas throughout the Northern region

I currently have several team members and we are expanding.

We could make you an outpost of Chapter 19. We have outposts in Wichita Falls/Burkburnett, Comanche and Chase the Ranch Ninja in College Station. Outpost peeps are considered chapter 19 members but kinda do their own thing. We see them whenever we have bigger events like charity events, the Sci-Fi Expo or the Mock Bugout planned for this weekend. But they can do their own thing also when they want. We just give them a nifty tab patch to wear over their chapter patch. The Scorched Earth Outpost in Comanche is hosting the MBO this weekend. A bunch of us are going and it's a 2 hour drive or more. Most of us don't mind driving to attend a camp or shoot. A bunch of us drove nearly to Lubbock last Memorial Day Weekend for the Zombie Fry they have out there. I'm sure if ya'll have something planned up in that area, you could probably get some of the rest of us to attend. If you want, have your people send a request to the Chapter 19 officers link and we'll get you posting access.

That's exactly what I'm talking about. I searched for mini chapters and subchapters using the forum search feature and it wouldn't load anything.

Yeah, the outpost thing is "unofficial". But it seems to work out ok for us, being as we are scattered far and wide all over the countryside. Whenever you plan a meeting for your bunch of folks, let me know. I'll come up and give ya'll the run down on what we have going on, maybe drag some others with me. Saturday or Sunday works for me.
