Who ever said that Larping is a stupid passtime with no use in the real world (or the PAW ) needs to eat their hat.

News story

I know this guy, he was in a group I was with a while back...... I might even of been hit with the item in question, probably not as hard though

One in the eye for spear haters too

Love it!
Good for him in defending himself & his property. I hope he doesn't face prosecution over his actions.

If its the spear I think it is, its made of plastazote foam over a glass-fibre core and covered in latex and paint.... No way on earth that you could call it an offensive weapon.

Besides, they were breaking in and he grabbed the first thing available then when they buggered off he didn't chase after them...... That is Minimum Force let alone Reasonable & Proportional (which is the current accepted wording)

Lucky thieves. He had a replica spear. In my place I have a hunting compound bow, live swords, daggers and knives, a collection of knives I use to practice AND teach shuriken jutsu and a pretty vicious pet hedgehog. If he'd broke in here he'd have left, in pieces, with my hedgehog, fluffy mc hedgepig, biting his balls.

In all seriousness, good on the guy. that pub isn't too far from me too. I might pop in and buy the guy a pint.

Prepping; Why prep? Well just think of it as a physical form of insurance. You insure your home "just in case" it gets robbed. Why not prep "just in case" the poop hits the propeller?
