Zoe's having a nap, but we're going to have to head in to Birmingham in about an hour to pick up my wife. I'm checking my flight bag, and will pack a few extra things, including our bicycle helmets, in case the weather starts popping before I can get us all back home. I don't plan on seeing a major city-wide disaster, but my XD will also be in the bag, just in case.
In addition to the basics, I've thrown in my leather work gloves and a few extra bottles of water. The gas tank is full, and after the last few events, I'm nervous as Micheal Moore at a cannibal convention.
Oh, how nice. The National Weather Service is interrupting a clear, informative weather program to give us one of those robotized text messages.
