AMC is tight-fisted with their episodes, so Hulu and Netflix don't have it yet.

Amazon.com has both seasons on "Instant Video" for $2.99/episode
Time Warner has it "On demand" for free if you subscribe to their digital cable package.

It was a really quick scene and I didn't catch it until the second airring, but I kinda got the same feeling. Rick had already decided they would keep Randall in "custody"......So why was Dirty D hanging out in the barn (sharpening his blade?).

Funny how responsible people that wouldn't let their kid walk to school alone during normal times, let him run amok during the zombie invasion.

Why would the zombie move away from a food source anyways?
Their prime function seems to be to eat.

Its called the walking dead, not for the zombies, or our lovely group of survivors, but for the actual show itself. Its a shambler, stumbling along. Someone put it out of its misery and let's move on to something else. Like Firefly Season 2!

hate to be that guy but if you dont like it ...dont watch...dont want to analyze/discuss it...dont participate..
I for one love the show. People are going to die that you like, people are going to die that you dont like. They have to have a story or it wont keep anyone attention for long. Thats why zombie movies are only an hour and a half long, you only can watch them getting eaten for so long, you need substance.

majorhavoc wrote:This isn't a spoiler because I honestly don't know what is going to happen. Hell, Daryl didn't even exist in the GN. But if your expectionations are that certain people should/deserve/must outlive others, you might as well quit watching now.
It's been said and said again in this thread and elsewhere that a hallmark of Kirkland's storytelling is that favored characters can and do die. To say you'll quit watching if a particular character dies, or dies before another, essentially means that you do not want to be wating a Kirkland TV drama. Period.
Sorry man, but in this particular vision of the zombie apocalypse, that's just the way it is.

Eklipsis wrote:It's all good..Daryl is my favorite too...
I think the reason the action slowed (meaning less walkers) is because they wanted you to get the feeling that the farm is a safe haven. Anytime they get away is when they run into a horde of walkers. So, based on sneak peeks of the next episode/the arrival of Randall and potential threat of others/Dale killed in the field, your starting to get the feeling maybe this isnt such a safe place after all and there is a real threat. Maybe its time to get moving again? As far as I know they dont stay at the farm forever at least in the GN.
catalyst wrote:I get this feeling that the reason the action slowed is budget related - I think this will come back to bite them in the ass. I am also getting a bit sick of the drama-fest that this show is turning in to.
They are taking characters down illogical roads. So dale had to die. Fine. Heck, I'm ok with him dead, but don't off the guy from a walker that he should have interrupted in the middle of feeding on a cow. This is some of the final survivors in a zombie apocalypse. The cautious guy who sits a top the RV all the time isn't going to take a stroll and be unprepared for an attack. Dale was not my favorite character by any means, but at least give the guy some more credit. Let him walk up on the zed, line up the shot, and have his gun make a loud audible "click" (the loudest cick you can ever hear) as his gun misfires, only to have the zombie also hear it, and then attack dale.
I don't want to be insulted by watching these people act like idiots, because if they were, we'd have not made it past episode 3 or 4 of season 1.
And Carl... what are they doing with his character, because at this point, I'm starting to second-guess the writers on his development - and how idiotic they make Rick and his wife look as parents - who never let the kid out of their sight early on.
