Water, water, everywhere...

On Wednesday, a massive storm moved through the area and dumped 2-3 inches of rain. The ground is somewhat wet, giving the water nowhere to go.

Where was I?

On my way to work. I turned around before I got to the 2 to 10 foot water… There was only one road open in to town. It was high enough that the water wasn’t standing on it.

Imagine being stuck on a high spot until the water goes down… Or, getting stalled in flood water… Turning around and not driving through the water is worth it. Remember the "I don't think I'll need to take that with me today" thought you had before you left for the day?

that just sucks. i dont wish that on anyone. the people who own those mobile homes in the last link look like they got really lucky. you did the smart thing.

I had to get a few water pumps (sump pump was too expensive) to keep the water out of our crawl space. Whenever it rains it seaks through the foundation and I just don't have the money to get it repaired.
