I love my Whisperlite Int'l! Best stove in the world... this is what all the Nols instructors use. One guy has had his for 14 years and it will still burn just about anything at high elevation, even after being run over by a truck.
I can organize and film a wide variety of workshops and courses with qualified instructors ranging from composting & cultivation to survival and tactics. Email me at mike@backpackjunkies.com for info.

Got the girlfriend a used Nebo Wasatch -10F sleeping bag with stuff sack, $40. No smells or tears, insulation seems good. I figure if its not warm enough for winter she can get a liner for it, but I think it'll be good for her for now.

Our issue with her is she cant sleep with her feet too constricted. But where her feet come to in this thing she should have enough room.

If she doesn't....new sleeping bag for Brian :D

Just bought a voodoo tactical III pack from top spec US and it came without the mount straps for the shoulder straps . No way to make this work without them.
very frustrating.
Sent an email to them so we will see how there service is.

Backpack for use as a EDC/GHB bag for my daughter, basic Coleman FAK and some extra supplies to beef it (and our IFAKs) up with (this one's for the 'normal' camping gear but will eventually find its way into another BOB), more food preps (BOB & BIL), some fishing supplies to make a basic fishing kit for my BOB, gloves for the wife and daughter, a few more boxes of 5.56, more 550 cord, more water treatment tablets, a few emergency blankets, some plastic sporks, a couple of backpacks to get my kids BOBs started with. I'm probably forgetting a few things - tax return shopping is fun!

For the record the customer service at top spec US is fantastic.my email was responded to quickly and the problem has been fixed. IMHO the voodoo tactical III is just a little too small for my application .

Just bought my first BoB. Got a very good condition ALICE back with metal frame. This will be my primary bag as I start to assemble it. My Camelback now goes to my wife leaving just my yong (5 yo son's) bag to start at some point.

Outbound Microlite: weighs 2lbs.
Broadstone Fleece Sleeping Liner: weighs 2lbs.

Summers approaching so I bought myself a warm weather sleeping bag and a fleece liner just in case it gets cold at night. If the fleece gets too warm, I can always just use my ranger blanket. For the price, the weight and the size of each unit, I couldn't pass it up. They both open up all the way, so if I wanted to, I could connect them with my girlfriends sleeping bag and fleece liner and make a 2 person bed roll. We're both getting Therm-a-Rest Neo Airs in prperation for the summer. I have a cheap air mattress that the army issued me and it sucks, so I bought my own shtuff.

Commenga tritium compass. I love it so much more when it doesn't belong to Uncle Sam. Damn expensive though.

After our 2012 WMBO somethings were very obvious. First off the need for navigation. My wife and I dropped by Gander Mountain yesterday and I found this while she was looking at a Remington 700. It seems pretty intuitive.
