ZS lanyards and badge holders

Postby Sgt_Stadanko » Fri Jan 27, 2012 10:57 am

After a very successful monthly "shoot and greet", I (and other members of the local chapter) noticed that the turnout was far better than we had originally suspected. The problem is not everyone could identify each other as ZS brothers. One of our officers recommended that we wear our badges to help others identify us as ZS. While this is a great idea, I do not have a badge holder/lanyard. I know I could go to Staples or OfficeMax and get one, but in the spirit of getting a ton of ZS gear, I must ask....

Is there any chance of getting ZS lanyards and badge holders? If not, can I have some made? If I had some made, I would really like to have our local chapter printed on the lanyard as well, but if you guys want to keep them uniform and "official", just the ZS logo would make me happy as well.

I see that these run about $2.50 each (after plate setup/shipping) for 150.

I think it would be a great way to help us identify each other while at the range or any other activity. While we are all getting to know one another, we do have new guys coming in that no one knows, and I would like them to be able to identify us badge carriers so that they can get involved in the activities with a little less hesitation.

Well guys, what do you say?

I think that would be a pretty cool idea. I'd be interested in getting a couple of those from the online store if they were there.

I am also curious as to the rules pertaining to business cards. In setting up a charity event I got the crooked eye when I was asked for my card, and because I did not have one I wrote my name/number down on a post-it.

The lanyards would be great though.

If we were an older chapter, I am sure we would have the ZS gear. Being new, nobody has made that investment really. We are all becoming familiar with eachother though.

We have a standard set of business cards available via the store and are still in the process of getting a workable design for chapter officer cards that are easily customizable with your name and email address. I'm really jonesing for those myself, so I'll let you know as soon as I get them going and we get a standardized process in place.

The lanyards are a great idea, and I'll pass them up the chain to see if theres interest in them.

I would buy at least two lanyards if they were available (probably even three or four), as well as a stack of business cards. Or, if you could just make the business card design available on a file, the individual chapters could print their own business cards out. This would save someone in HQ the hassle of setting it up in the shop... Just my two cents.

But, I definitely want to be on the list for some lanyards if they do happen! :)

I've seen cards from other chapters up and we at ZSC:015 have a design in for approval at HQ (calling HQ!) that is chapter specific.

It would not take much to set up a downloadable pdf that was set up to print on Avery business card sheets

Maybe I missed them, but where are these cards?

Any word yet?

No, the board is in full swing for ZCon planning, and just finished up the belt buckle. I don't think anythings happened on the lanyard holder front yet.

I agree that they're cool, but don't you think a ZS t-shirt would be easier to recognize someone in than a thin piece of nylon around their neck?

Why reinvent the wheel?

http://tinyurl.com/7sa6tdh

We have a box of these for doing range visits, trade shows, weapons demos, etc, and a lot of the training/range classes I go to usually have them and we put the name badge either on our back, or like I do, on the back of my hat, so when the instructor is behind us, while we're engaging targets, he knows whose name to cuss out for doing stupid shit.

But yea... it's a badge holder, just hit up your local office store.

I'd love a ZS lanyard, just for the sake of having one.
