Potential new post-apocalyptic series "Revolution"

J.J. Abrams is making a pilot for NBC of a show called Revolution. Here is the description:

In this epic adventure thriller, a family struggles to reunite in a post-apocalyptic American landscape: a world of empty cities, local militias and heroic freedom fighters, where every single piece of technology — computers, planes, cars, phones, even lights — has mysteriously blacked out … forever.

I have no idea when the pilot will be finished, but if it is picked up for a series it could be pretty good.

It does sound like an interesting premise, but I'm afraid after LOST I'll avoid anything he does. Don't want to get burned again

So far Alcatraz on FOX has been pretty good, and that's a JJ Abrams gig. I'll give it a chance if it ever makes it.

This sounds a lot like "Dies the Fire" and the story of the Change by S.M. Sterling. Electricity, internal combustion, high pressure steam and explosives (gunpowder), just stop working. World goes "crash."
