here's why:
although its illegal in california i dont have $10k to buy the real thing then don't
i dont like the sport stock of the .22LR many other stocks that don't rape the original design
i dont like wood stock synthetic
i like to modernize all my .22LR because of call of duty and battlefield3 nuff said
these airsoft stocks are cheaper and i have more selections for my .22's cheaper because they are for toys
its a fun cheap plinker it was before
its the closest thing i can get to a Barrett as close to a barret as it was before
its unique not always a good thing
i get to play gunsmith and customize my .22's with something you dont see everyday slapping the guts into a plastic toy is not "gunsmithing"
btw i already have an AR15 and a converted Saiga 12. im having way more fun tinkering with my .22's

whatever floats your boat man, don't let me bring you down, I just don't and never will understand this trend. It reminds me of turning a pontiac fiero into a ferrari kit car, which some people think is cool I guess.![]()
Why not just make your 10/22 awesome by making it actually perform better AND look cool while not trying to be something its not?
defcon wrote:im not really into performance. im more into the "mall ninja" poser look.I love your ownership of it, makes the respect meter go up on you

would you have the same opinion with the aftermarket .22's like the GSG-22(MP5), ISCC MK22(SCAR), AR 15-22, AK47 .22? I still am not the largest fan of them, but they are functional and intended for the purpose, Mostly just AR .22lr uppers make sense to me because the feel/Function is similar for training on the cheap

I see your Jackie Chan and raise you:
Besides.... didn't you just get an Umbrella Co. Lower, SupremeKing?

Look at it this way. At least you aren't a zombie.
Or Pimpslick.

. . . so, is that not a mod to your AR15? This guy is modding his 10/22 to look like other weapons. Much like Krinker-Plinkers, Thompson 10/22 conversions, M1 carbine 10/22 conversions. . . but he is going BIGGER with the materials he has. Isn't that kind of a point around here? I personally dig the idea. It should also be posted in the 10/22 thread.

Loving that M14 build, that's definitely something I would like to see. That, and a G3. And an AK74su, and a PKM, and a L85, and...
I'll stop now.
